Benjamin: Curse of the bland babyface?

Awesome wrestler, amazing move-set, can tell a story in the ring, innovative and ultimatley going in the wrong direction.

Basically because until he's in the ring I dont care, do you?

His character is suffering the same death that Randy Orton's did when he became champion. Admit it good faces have promo skills like Rock, Austin and Jehrico that mock there Heel counterparts. They're not moaning weiner do-gooders like Shelton is now.

So how do we save him? Easy I think, reform Team Angle, Bring in Conway and Helms. Have them dominate for a year as Heels and them have them fall apart with Shelton as the challenger for Angle.

Done.

I had a sig, once.

Turn the guy heel (that's my answer to everything).

He is a good c0cky heel in the ring but faces only ever work for me if they have that "tweener" quality.

I meant with Benjamin as a heel member. And yeah a shame they start so many guys off these days as heels because they look lost as a face later.

I thinkt he character Shelton had when he first came to Raw was perfect. He mocked HHH in the ring and had an arrogant confidence to him, that he has since lost or a tleast watered down. he needs that back.

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

It's possibly the influx of so many "TV/Movie" writers that think a good guy needs to be good all the time. Vince should lock them all in a room in titan towers with the entire 1998 raw and ppvs to watch and let them out after a week.

We he's already obviously locked them in a room, with the entire 80's tapes playing, because at the moment they seem to think wrestlers from that generation are the only draw.

Benjamin can do well as a face, just make him c0cky like 37 suggested. Remember how good he was in that interview with Maria earlier this year? He was acting so suave and confidant, that's how he should be all the time.

^^ With the losing streak he seems to be on at the moment, he would have to be a brilliant actor to carry of suave, confident and c0cky right now.

I think Benjamin's problem is that he simply doesn't have a good speaking voice. His lines don't come out smoothly when he speaks.

He was an effective heel in Team Angle becuase Angle was his mouthpiece. And, he was able to get the "rub" from being associated with Angle.

He's amazing in the ring, and I think that's why some people (such as myself) have taken to him. But he REALLY needs to work on his speaking talent. I think they should take the approach they took with Benoit. Don't try to make him funny, witty, or clever. Just have him come out and say to people "I'm better than you, and I can prove it" and have him show off his skills in the ring

Straight from Raw:

Shelton "Are you high?"

Who writes this crap? It got a few laughs but now Shelton's losing streak is getting some laughs as well. My laughs will turn to tears soon. Shelton is one of my favorite in-ring performers right now. He is absolutely electric in the ring. His match with Shawn Michaels in the gold rush tournament should have gotten him a few more wins lately. That was a great match. I still remember getting goosebumps when they both nipped up and had a staredown.
