Is Cena the worst wrestler to ever hold a major title?

Saying John Cena is terrible is almost markery at its finest.

look, his character is stale. His matches are booked very shittily (Yes, I made that word up), and he has held the belt for WAY too long. All three of those reasons are why I personally am tired of Cena.

But too say hes "carried" (the most overused term by the IWC, EVER) in every match, and has no ring skills is laughable. Of course his matches are predictable, and of course he uses the same combinations every match, but what face champion isnt for the most part. Dont tell me he no-sells, or that hes not a good worker, cause thats just false.

The problem is not Cenas ability (which he has), its WWE constantly jamming him down our throats, and never making him lose a clean match. Dont blame the performer for doing his job. Blame creative/Vince for not using him correctly. IMO, Cena is a heel turn, or a character overhaul away from being adored, again. Like alot of people did when he was the Marky Mark hip hop wigger.

I totally agree with just about everything you said here mang. People always want to take out the man on top, whether it was HHH, JBL or Rey freaking Mysterio. Don't hate the playa, hate the game.

The one thing I disagree about though is the fact that he sells well. He BARELY sells at all. I mean he may sell say a leg injury for 90% of the match but when he 'hulks up' suddenly there is nothing wrong with him

I wouldnt say hes the worst but any muscular white guy could pull of the gangsta gimmick. Hes an ok entertainer. I wouldnt even say the WWE title is a major title anymore tho. The whole spinner belt crap turned that whole legacy into a joke.

Well, there are several champions that were much worse than John Cena. You got guys like Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner who couldn't sell as a champion to save their lives at the end of WCW. Sid Vicious/Justice was not that great neither. The Great Khali isn't that great of a champion neither. Dusty Rhodes and Kerry Von Eric in the NWA were not the best champions for the NWA neither.
