Shane McMahon: Are the seeds planted?

At Homecoming, he didn't get to say a full sentence before he was stunned and the week after, he didn't get involved in the Heel McMahons firing JR segment. Was this done to keep him as a good guy? And if so, do you think the story of the future could be Shane challenging his father and finally taking over as the on-air CEO of the company?

Or is it just because Shane doesn't like the on-camera stuff.

He really doesn't seem to like the on screen stuff too much does he, whereas you since Steph loves it. I've no idea why it seems he doesn't since his mic work is awesome, he is genuinely still over with the fans and his stunt matches appeal to a lot of them. I would have thought his father tries to get him in more but he seems to be retiscent toward it.

As with a lot of my fave performers, I always prefer them to work as a heel and whilst "face" Shane can be okay, his heel persona is fantastic.

Heel Shane is awesome. You just have to look back at the Corporation and also for those two/three weeks where he had a stable of Benoit, Angle, Edge and Christian to see that. But i just think there always needs to be a face McMahon, usually it's Linda but after the worst heel turn since the Fink back in 2002 i think he would do good in the role as the voice of reason.

I think Shane just prefers a behind the scenes role more, which is a shame because he is my favorite McMahon.

This is why Linda's turn sucks so bad. She is the only McMahon better as a face, she cannot pull off heel mannerisms at all, not one jot, so turning her to a more complex character (which heels tend to be) made no sense at all. It was purely done for shock value and makes no long term noticeable sense since it's not like she can now go for a PPV match with JR!!!

It is definitely interesting that Shane McMahon didn't really appear on Raw with the other McMahons to be a heel. I could definitely see Shane coming out in the middle of one of the big McMahon family heel sessions and interupting it. That would make for some good t.v.
