Could it work?

My brother and i talked about this last year and questioned whether it was possible. Now tith the Taboo Tuesday Raw/Smackdown story at the moment, JBL is playing the face role. Do you think he could do it for an extended period of time. We've already seen him lose the tradition heel look of the suit.

I think he could definitely do it, he is great on the mic, and I'm sure he could convince the audience to get behind him.

Thoughts?

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

I think he could become an unintentional face, like Austin. Not as good or poplular, but Austin had no official face turn. in 96-97

Absolutely no doubts he could pull this off.

I have nothing but admiration for his stick work and character developmen, regardless of how much he sucks in anything but stipulation matches and that he seems a complete moron outside the ring.

I think he could definitely pull it off. I think that would draw some new interest to his character at least. I think it would good for JBL.

It can work, but leave it up to wwe to drop the ball and totally screw it up. Jbl has what it takes to be a face, but he just cant be a regular face, he has to take a page from austin and let the fans decide just like how they did with batista.

Im not sure if you guys remember but he was a face for virtually his whole career and he never got out of low-profile tag-teaming, Bradshaw was good around 6/7 years ago as part of an all power tag team, he was mildly entertaining in beer drinking skits in the APA. But now as a enforcer Face role, well it hasnt got hardcore holly anywhere and it sure as hell wont get JBL to the top of the tree.

He could never get over big with his APA era Bradshaw face character. I was thinking more along the lines of a totally different face character. I think he could pull it off.

If you're saying "he didn't get over as Bradshaw so he won't as JBL" that's pontless. That's like saying "Ringmaster sucked so Stone Cold won't cut it", "Mean Mark didn't work so nor will Undertaker" it's a completely different character that he plays in a totally different way. Sure we know they're all the same guys underneath but I've got to say JBL is entertaining at least in ways that Bradshaw never ever could have been.

It's a two pronged reason I have. One being the above (and lets be honest the two examples you choose are the exception over the rule) but the second is that powerful locker-room leader faces just dont get over.
