Raw thought for 10/24/05

Daredevil

decent show. The first half was kind of weak until Flair attacked HHH

Pros:
Flair attacking HHH
Carlito attacking Mick Foley twice
JR surgery segment (funny but long)
smackdown invasion

Cons:
First match - how many botched spots can you have in one match. i hope wrestlecrap.com was watching tonight.
mcmahon/coach segment
not bringing matt hardy for the smackdown invasion

and honestly, how many times can a hand be removed from someone's body on Raw. Count so far: 2

I thought Raw was pretty good this week, although the JR segment went on a little too long.

-The triple threat match was full of blown spots, but I think it made both HBK and Big Show look strong for the voting.

-I was a little dissapointed to not see Triple H-Viscera because I would like to see what the game would have done with Big Vis, but Flair had a nice(but short) promo.

-Why did Torrie have a wand with her? I'm still dissapointed that she and Candice are still emplyed. The match though was ok though.

-Nice segment between Foley & Carlito, their match should be fun(even if it's not a good technical match.

-The whole JR surgery bit was funnier than I expected it to be even though it was a little too long.

-It was nice seeing SD strike back, even though it seemed odd to see JBL & Mysterio working together.

-No suprise that Angle had to carry Cena through the match, but I was happy to see Cena lose the match.

I didn't see enough for a whole pros and cons, but it wasn't a horrible show. It had some decent moments. I thought the JR thing lasted way too long but was funny in spots.

I also like the brands bickering back and forth and fighting. I'm hoping for the end of this god awful brand extention but we'll see.

It was an ok show, nothing all that great but nothing terrible. Strange seeing Hurricane all suave looking, hopefully it will lead to a push for him, he's earned it. God help me I actually thought that JR surgery bit was funny. with the Jim Ross soundbytes coming on everytime Vince put his hand "inside"
"Good god what the hell is that?!" as he pulled out a penguin was pretty comical, and here I thought we had heard that last of Mae Young's hand.lol

Don't you guys think Helms looks like Orton now though? I mean, its fine to dress that way outside of wrestling I guess, but he's just going to be compared to Orton now in WWE. I think he should have been a Super Villan instead..

Pros: A match to start raw WOW... Never a bad thing, plus all three guys worked well together.

Stephanie "popping" out of the sun-roof of Austin's truck nice visual there.

JBL was great in his promo vs chris masters, funny stuff.

Smackdown looking strong after getting treated like a second class show..

Cons: Main Event match... Bischoff and Cena just do not work well together.

Vince's promo on JR....


Carlito: I dont understand what they are trying to do with him...
