Does a name change make a difference?

If you have a favourite wrestler and he suddenly has to start performing under a different name, does that in some way spoil your feeling for the character?

For example, I can't bring myself yet to start calling Dudleys, Team 3-D. It sounds stupid as does Brother Ray.

Do you get used to in time or do you just ignore the name change and keep calling them what you damn well like?

It depends, usually I eventually get used to it. For example, for I while I could call Brian James anything but Road Dogg but now I have no problem calling him BG James. Right now I still call Kip Sopp Billy Gunn, but eventually I might call him Kip James.

I think it's because I get used to calling a wrestler a certain name, but in the end they are the same person/persons and their name doesn't matter so I get used to calling someone by a certian name. But I try to refer to everybody by their most well known name, and that's why I referred to Kip James and Team 3D by their WWE names in my Ultimate PPV tournament.

Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.
