Rep Power: 85 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Is Randy Orton ready? By this I mean.. is he ready to breakout and be the MAN on not only SD! but when he goes back to RAW. They turned him face way too quickly, we all know the story and now he's had to take a step back.. However, in this feud with Taker I really think he's gotten back to the heel level he once was at.. I could see both RAW and SD! doing big business with him as a main event heel in the near future.. Is there anyone who doesn't think he's ready?

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | I think he is ready to be the man. They have been slowly rebuilding him and making him look good, especially against the Undertaker. He can do more for Smackdown right now, than Raw. He is one of the reasons that I watch Smackdown. Raw is all ready loaded with lots of players, so I think having Orton on Smackdown is good. I think he is better suited as a heel as well. |
| Thanks for the memories Eddie! | |

Rep Power: 10 ![]() ![]() | He's ready. I'd say he was ready if they let him run last year after Summerslam but they went with the bloody Face Turn of Doom (patent pending). The moment he RKo's Bob Junior, the crowd will knw he is ready

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Yep, he's ready. Orton's been great since returning from shoulder surgery and has been one of the few reasons I still tape SD! each week. He needs to stay heel, though. Hopefully WWE recognizes that certain guys just don't work as faces, and Orton is one of them. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | He is almost ready, I still think that to take him seriously that his dad needs to come off t.v and let Randy get some more clean wins without the help from his father. Plus Orton needs to stay heel and needs to stay in the main event picture and not have one of these silly feuds with guys that have no shot at a title any time soon. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | I think he is ready. He was ready a year ago August when he won the World Title from Benoit. The problem back then was that he was ready to have a run as a top-level heel. As a face, he was nowhere near ready. Simply put, Orton is a fantastic heel and a crappy babyface. WWE made the mistake in thinking that because fans were cheering him as a heel last year, that meant that they wanted him to be a babyface. Wrong. They were cheering him because he was such a brilliant heel. The Legend Killer gimmick had taken off, he had just come out of a high-profile feud with Mick Foley, and he was putting on top-notch matches. Of course the fans would cheer him - he was being properly pushed for his character. Turning him face gutted his character, and he was left with nothing that made him great in the first place. For now, it looks like WWE saw the light and are going back to what brought him to the dance in the first place. I'm looking forward to an Orton/Batista feud - I think it has a lot of potential. Let's just hope that when and if Orton goes over and becomes champion again, they don't botch it for a second time.
