When you see a PPV headlined by Cena or Batista there are only so many people you are going to believe that they will legitimately lose to.

Is Triple H the only person that you think can actually take the belt off John Cena?

What about Batista? Who takes his title?

I am serious. I think by continuously putting over Cena and Batista you are hurting your other superstars.

They are putting so much emphasis on the title being important by having long title runs that the PPV buys are hurting because you know the title won't change hands.

There should be a food chain so to speak in the locker room. Once you are up for a while, you go down a couple pegs. Next person moves up. Eventually you would have a ton of people on the top and all could legitimatly take a title run.

As it currently stands, I don't believe anyone besides HHH and maybe Kurt Angle are ready to take that title anytime soon.

On Raw right now, I can only see HHH, Kurt Angle, and possibly a returning Rock if he comes back.

On Smackdown, Eddie Guerrero, Randy Orton, Undertaker, and in my personal opinion I would like to see Rey Mysterio carry the belt, if just for one day.

Rock? NO. He hasen't been an active or semi-active wrestler in a long time so he would have to wrestle for several months to have a legitimate claim to a title shot.

I think that Triple H and Kurt Angle would be legit contenders, and now that Edge is done with Matt Hardy he can get back in the main event picture.

On SmackDown, this is a big problem right now. Eddie Guerrero still looks strong after a good match against Batista at No Mercy, Randy Orton possibly, Undertaker would also be a legit threat against Batista.

That depends on if its clean or not.

On Raw the only people who could believably beat Cena clean for the belt are HHH, Angle, HBK. Maybe Big Show but only on a fluke. Edge, Masters, Carlito could beat him with a McMahon or Bischoff assist, if only to have the Kane 24-hour reign special.

On Smackdown. You have, Taker who I think is the only person who could beat Batista straight up. A big maybe for Benoit. JBL, Eddie, Orton, could get over with cheating. Christian could beat Batista with a nuclear bomb.

On Smackdown they are surely building to Randy taking it off Batista down the line.

On Raw, it'll probably be the Tripster, especially now the family are all back in business (for themselves). Kurt, or maybe even Edge, could do it. But everybody is forgetting the lead heel on Raw now is Linda. She's gonna kick Cena's ass and take the belt. Hell, unlike Carlito, she even has a finishing move....the crotch kick. And she is the only McMahon not to thave held a belt.

Linda winning the belt would be a bigger travesty than Vince Russo winning the WCW World Title, because not only is Linda a frail old woman but also the WWE Championship is over 40 years old.

Ya, but do you really believe the only reason buy a PPV is because they think a belt will change? As long as the person who loses to the champ doesn't look bad, you haven't lost anything. I don't think you could say,"ok they pushed Angle really strong for 3-4 mos, as they're doing. Now he loses to Cena at the Surivor Series, is he no longer a main eventer? Of course not, infact I'd watch him wrestle HBK all day for no title then for Cena with one. The short run champs only hurt the belt, and that belt has to be percieved as valuable to the fans, whether they like the current champs or not. That way when they lose it, that person that wins looks really good, and if it's a heel that cheated, then fans are pissed and hoping for a big rematch.

You know wrestling is in a sad state when a question like that is asked

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

I honestly don't know.

Back when WWE were really hammering through the ratings there were numerous title changes, a few even on free TV, and they never seemed to hurt ratings or PPV buys.

Just playing devils advocate....don't really have a point to make (nothing new there)
