Carlito

What do you guys think about him right now? I was just watching USA and I saw a commercial for him, it was.. what else, pretty cool.

But, it looks like WWE is taking a step back with him. Not burying, but not really giving a push either. He hasn't shown much in the ring, so maybe that's why. It's not that he's been awful, he gets his ass kicked realy well (sells), but he doesn't have much in the way of a moveset or even a finishing move. The DDT is all I can remember seeing him do.

We all know he's got great charisma. His facial expressions are priceless, I could definitely see him being a face down the road, he's already a heel people like to get behind.

What do you think would be best for him at this point? Who do you pair him up with? What kind of story does he fit into? Would you elevate him some more or keep him where he is for a while?

They seem to get a little stuck sometimes with heels that have good comic timing, ever since they did so well with The Rock.

Carlito's doesn't have the ring ability yet to be a main event guy, yet he's been pushed so high so quick that anything other than progression seems like a backward step.

The danger in taking him backwards now is the perception the audience will have that he is actually not a man to watch for after all. Once that initial perception that we must watch him is gone, it hardly ever comes back, for example, strange though it is to say it now...Test. Rhyno is another. RVD main evented a PPV within 6 months of being there yet went backwards from thereon in.

I hope they don't (for his sake) lean him more and more towards comedy since, once you become a comedy act, you're chances of making the top league are very small. I would like to see him fronting up a tag team, occasionally in six man matches but principally using them as his muscle. I have no idea as to who this team could be though!!

It would also be wrong to turn him face so soon, but it may be wise now to do a fake face turn (a la The Rock himself when he turned face from the Nation at first and then turned back quickly having cheated the fans at Survivor Series...this would also give them a brief chance to see if the crowd actually really want to cheer him too).

I just saw him live, durring a house show last Saturday. Let me tell you, Calito gets Major Heat.

People love to boo him. They laugh but Boo. Sitting with the crowd, he always needs a big spot on the card. The man gets over huge.

I think that they are holding him back at the moment until Van Dam returns because of the heat that is already there with those two.
But as i sit here in my Carlito T-shirt that finally arrived today in the post, i am just hoping they don't ruin him by putting him into something worthless like a feud with someone who is way below him.

I think HHH Vs Carlito would be cool

I thought they worked really well in the ring together on homecoming show.

I think we have to let the dust settle a bit on the Triple H/Ric Flair split to see where Carlito is going. Either he and Masters are going to join up with Triple H (was rumored at one point) in the next couple of weeks, or Carlito is going to move into a different direction and face someone like a returning RVD or a Shawn Michaels. I don't think anyone has to worry about Carlito slipping on the card. He's an upper mid-card guy right now, which is right where he should be. He's not ready for main events yet. So, some months/weeks he's going to be featured more prominently than others, which is fine. As long as he is involved in some sort of ongoing storyline/angle, than we have nothing to worry about.

I think having him and Chris Masters become a regular tag team would be a good idea, he and Masters could really help out the tag team division and it would give them both something to do for now. But Carlito really needs to get a finisher already.

Will Hunter cost Flair the IC Belt now, to say Carlito? Or will these guys fued over the IC Belt which would definitely raise the prestige of that belt.

BTW Trips is my new number 1 on Raw for beating the shit out of Flair :P (As soon as i get Photoshop back, i'm changing my sig)

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

When RVD was drafted to Raw back in June he was the guest on Carlito's Cabana, they got into a arguement and Carlito attacked RVD's still injured knee.
