Whose Debut stands out in your mind most?

Seeing as WWE now runs 4 or 5 weeks of vignettes for some terrible OVW call-ups that instantly cant live up to their hype my question is. Whose was the last debut you was auctually impressed with?

Mine was John Cena. Now it may have been the fact that Kurt Angle can "get a match out of a broom" but his debut left me wanting to see more. In fact he didnt really live up to the hype of that opening match for the next 6 months and only really got over once he started the rap gimmick.

Other notable mentions are of course Carlito and for his entrance Mordicai (up until the point he stepped into the ring).

What do you guys think?

I had a sig, once.

The best debut of all-time would have to be Chris Jericho's WWF debut in Chicago with his square-off with The Rock. The countdown, the promo, the cheer, it was all perfect.

Of recent times, I loved Carlito's debut. Bam! Straight away grabs the U.S Belt and was entertaining as he spat apple in Cena's face

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

Chris Jericho's was an awesome debut, the whole count down thing, and interupting the Rock.

Another debut I liked was Tazz's. I'll be honest with you I didn't know who the hell he was, since I didn't see ECW. But when the blips to his music started the place exploded as he made is way to the ring. And he then went to choke out a rookie Kurt Angle, that was class. It was awesome seening him exicute those suplexes.

And last but by no means least the Radicalz. For a few weeks prior I'd actually started watching WCW and Malenko, Saturn and Benoit used to feature in 6 man tags. I think it was on WCW World Wide or something like that. Anyway when I saw these guys sitting at front row of Smackdown I was like what the hell their WCW guys!! What they doing on WWF??

Edge will rise again...

Definitely. back in the day, i had no idea what ECW was. And i knew WCW existed, bit i knew nothing of it. I thought Goldberg was an Austin clone. But newho, i remembered being absolutely shocked when the Radicalz joined and just started kicking ass.

Are there some rose-tinted specs going on here? The radicalz debut ended in a train wreck when eddie dislocated his elbow and fucked up an entire episode of Raw.

Yeah that did put a bit of a dampner on it, but I was talking about my inital reaction to seeing these guys on WWF/E TV. But out of all of them Eddie was the one I knew the least of.

Funnily enough I think Eddie jumped because he`d been stuck in a mid-card fued with Rey Mysterio JR for about 8 months, hmmmm.

Moppy! errr...

I loved when Kane debuted. The build up was awesome and when he showed up it was like, OH SNAP!

Like one of those OH SNAPS! where its like, Brother went and killed his own Brother!

Another debut I liked was Brock Lesnars. BAM! Out of nowhere Maven, Al Snow and Spike Dudley i think were going through trash cans, which doesn't really sound impressive, but the impact was awesome!
