Women's Wrestling: What's Your Take?

I've made a lot of threads lately.. Some were bad, some were even worse. No, I keed. So anyway, I figured what the hell.. this is as good a time as any to make this thread I've been wanting to make for a long time.

Before I get started, I join the RAW thread quite often these days.. I read all of your posts on here. I have a coupe friends who watch wrestling, I read JV's reviews, etc. and I hear the same thing from all of you..

"Give us women who can wrestle, get rid of these worthless divas" I think I may have even used that line once or twice, but I'm not sure I really believe it anymore..

When I think of women's wrestling I hardly ever find myself going.. "Wow, that was a really good match" The only time I think I ever marked out for a women's match, well.. maybe a couple times. There was a hardcore match between Trish and Victoria that was pretty decent and then there was that match from RAW with Lita and Trish late last year.

How many women in this world are both hot and could put on a decent match? Maybe this little slice of heaven right here..





lol.. or maybe Victoria, although my friends don't think she's all that hot. Lets face it, do we REALLY want to see Bull Nakano or whatever the hell out there wrestling? Hell no..

I'm not sayin that WWE needs more eye candy matches or whatever, they have enough, they have the diva search, they have Torrie still around doing nothing but shaking her tits and ass.. but my question to you all is.

ARE YOU JUST KIDDING YOURSELVES?? What I mean is.. If there was a bunch of indy girls in WWE and they filled up about 20-30 min. of air time on RAW would you REALLY want to see it? lets be honest here.. I want honest opinions on this. Do you REALLY want the women's div. to become something or are you just saying what's politically correct?

I DO want to see actual womens wrestling, and I would like WWE to hire women that can wrestle since there are many indy women who look good and can wrestle. So I think WWE really blew it by releasing Gail Kim.

Victoria can look good, but she hasn't looked good the past few weeks.

Anyways, I would prefer to see women who can wrestle over useless bimbos like Torrie, Candice, Michelle, and Maria.

I used to enjoy the womens division,as a once a show match,I dont think they have the depth of talent to fill any longer time wise,plus with things like the Diva Search its obvious what WWE thinks people want to see women do on their shows.
Plus matches that involve the bimbos just makes womens wrestling look dump.

As sexist as it sounds, the Women's Division does nothing for me. There is rarely ever a good match. With few exceptions being the Trish matches you mentioned. I would love to see them get some of the indy girls in and actually make me care about the division.

P.s I hate Christy, Torrie, Candice, Stacy and so on...who cant actually wrestle and only like to prance in their bikini's, its boring and repetitive..

Stacey is the only non-wrestling diva I like(unless you count Lillian since I like her as well), although I believe she should stick to a valet role like when she was with H & R.

I would like to see some good women wrestlers that are also hot and show some skin. When Trish first started she used to wear shorts. Now that she has gotten serious about wrestling she wears pants. I am not complaining she is still really hot, but why can't we have it both ways? Good women wrestlers that show skin.

Womens wrestling is going to be all about the gimmick and storelines from now on. I think anyone can see that clearly now.

Personally I don't give a damn about the women's division, as long as the women in the WWE have a job. If they wrestle that's fine, if they are managers or vallets, that's fine, if they have a real or scripted job backstage or if they are an announcer or interviewer, that's fine. My problem is most of these "divas" just flash T & A, not only is it in my eyes immoral, but it's also a version of a cheap pop. Of course the horney men are gonna cheer when the purdy ladies strip. It's like Mick Foley mentioning someone's town week after week. Mick can back it up with his promo skills, his hardcore wrestling and most of all his intellegence. These girls don't have any of those, especally the third one.

So no, I don't care if there is a women's div. or not, I just want the women of the WWE to have use, and not those bimbos who have the same amount of tallent as the girls on "Girls Gone Wild".

I enjoyed the Women's Division in 2003 when they had Trish, Molly, Victoria, Jazz, Gail, Ivory, Lita, Jackie and Nidia all competing. With the exception of Jazz, who's not attractive, the other ladies ranged from gorgeous (Trish, Victoria) to decent looking (Molly, Jackie). They also had some pretty good matches but I don't think we'll ever get back to that, now that WWE is focusing on Diva storylines, which are god awful.

I think women's wrestling has a place, but it's apparent that WWE doesn't agree. Oh well, maybe TNA will start up a women's division with all the recent ex-WWE workers they've now employed.
