I was thinking the other day what if it had been Marty Janetty that had become the big star and not Shawn Michaels.
Would we have had Janetty as champion and would he have been the one who had the comeback.
Its just a crazy thought i had and was wondering what the rest of you thought and what other "what if's" you had thought of in the past.

There are lots of them that could have changed the wrestling landscape...In fact, when I have more time, I'll actually take the time to make my guesses as to what would eventually happen. I'll just propose the questions for now...
What if the Rock had become successful at football?
What if WCW had never let HHH, Austin, Undertaker, and Foley leave?
What if Paul Heyman was better with money?
What if Hogan never turned heel and never joined the nWo?
What if Goldberg didnt end Bret's career?

As far as Hogan joining the nWo, at that point his popularity was waning and fans were starting to get sick of Hulkamania so I think the only choices were to turn him heel or have him take a while off like Triple H is.

I think the what if that matters most is Montreal. It was a catalyst for so much in the WWE, and without it, WWE may have went out of business. It created the best on screen heel ever in Mr. Mcmahon, which in turn rocketed Steve Austin to a Hogan like level, and ushered in the attitude era full speed.
Not to mention all it did for WCW was give them a 3 million dollar a year star they didnt' utilize at all. Bet they loved paying that around '99. I'm sure theres more.

what if shawn michaels would have followed his fellow Klique members Nash and Hall to WCW to start nWo?
and this one goes way back. what if andy kaufman actually beat Lawler in Memphis? Would the RAW announce team be good old J.R. and Andy "the king" Kaufman?
