The next big time main eventer in the company. WWE has some guys with a lot of potential from Orton, Carlito, Shelton, Masters, maybe even Conway (without this gimmick). Then you even have a guy in TNA like AJ Styles, but I believe he just signed a long-term deal there. So who do you think will breakout?

He reminds me a lot of the Rock the way he does some of his promos and his comedic timing. I think a little more time on the mic, a little more time in the ring, and Carlito is going to be the next big thing in the near future.

Rep Power: 10 ![]() ![]() | I gotta agree with Dakstang. It's Carlito. I think he has all the tools to break out and be the backbone of the company in a few years time. (Although he still needs a finisher) EDIT: Damn Right i am......

Rep Power: 15 ![]() | I think Carlito will be a break out star. I know most people believe this but I also have to add Christian since right now he is not a star and has been jobbing a lot for the last 6 months. |

He has a lot of charisma, and that goes a long way I think Shelton will be a star, but in more of the Chris Benoit mold. An amazing athlete who is lacking in mic skills/charisma

I can't stand him personally....but he's got everything Vince looks for and when he ultimately puts the IC belt on this guy he sure as hell won't be using him as a pawn/comedy fall guy for a Jericho-Cena World Title match.

Rep Power: 45 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I through Orton in there because I think he has room to improve. I think a guy like Cena is what he is. I mean, Cena could get a little better in the ring, but his whole style from here is going to be an Austin/Rock combination of brawling, so maybe he learns how to throw punches better? I don't know. With Orton, he's only like 25 years old, his mic skills could get even better than they are already, and I think he'll improve in the ring because he'll be given a chance to wrestle like a Shawn Michaels, or somebody like that. Now..as far as Next Big Star, I'll answer my own question. I think it's going to be Carlito. He'll be the cool heel for a while, and then he'll get enough catchphrases together to become a top face in the company, like a Rock type. Not saying he'll be as big as Rock, but you see what I'm saying. I think Shelton needs a heel turn bad..and then we'll see a better side of his character to go along with his amazing in-ring ability.

Carlito has potential, for sure - he's already held two titles in his first year in WWE, a large portion of which he was injured. He's got charisma, comedic timing, and a unique look. I'm still not sure if his ringwork is as solid as it could be, but then again, John Cena's no technical marvel and is doing just fine on top. I don't dislike Chris Masters, either. WWE did the smart thing by making him more than just a knock-off of Lex Luger's Narcissist gimmick (like they did with Mark Jindrak). He's ****y and arrogant in an outspoken way, not in a "I can't wait to get back to my hotel room to stare at myself in the mirror" kind of way. They've done a good job of putting over the Masterlock submission, so I think that he could go far given some time and experience (hell, the kid's only 22!). I think that Shelton Benjamin could have a successful run as a heel - they just need to give him some trash talk to back up his solid ringwork. But, if I had to bet, I wouldn't make him my top choice. I think that if they were given good gimmicks, Rene Dupree and Rob Conway could each have a stab at the top, but they'd need some image overhaul bigtime.
