Kerwin White: Is it right?

No, not the angle. I could care less whether it's tasteless or not. I mean, is this the right gimmick for Chavo, can it work?

If you didn't see it last night on Heat, Kerwin came out for a promo where he ripped into the mexican fans, saying they are all unemployed, and he continued to put over middle class America. He came out riding in a golf cart, his music I believe was something by Sinatra and he did some stereotypical "white" dancing. He was very entertaining in this role, if you ask me. He was never going to get anywhere doing the same thing he had been doing for years, so I think this could be good for him. Again, he is doing a great job in this role.

I totally agree, I saw Heat on Sunday, I was thourghly entertained by "Kerwin" and that was before he spoke, the music and golf cart totally work. I'm glad Chavo's doing this now, the gimmick is kinda lame but he hasn't been origonal since Pepe. His whole televised carrer revolved around joining stables or riding on his uncles coattales or being in his dad's shadow. Good for Chavoe to stand on his own.

I like the new gimmick, I don't know how much it will help his career but it certainly can't hurt considering he has really done anything in years.

I always thought he was a quality performer. We know he's solid in the ring, but I also suspected he had a little more character than he lets on. While I havent seen him with the new gimmick much, I'm just glad he's getting a chance to perform.

I really think the WWE is dumb for changing Chavo's character. I mean, I'm willing to give it a chance, but if you're going to change his character... USE him on RAW. Having him show up on Heat won't help because when he ever appears on RAW again, people won't know who the hell he is.

I'd love it though if Eddie "bumps" into Kerwin backstage. That would be interesting.

When Chavo was stuck with the Amway gimmick in WCW's heyday, he played it perfectly and it was hilarious, so he has the talent to pull of weak ideas and make them good. Since they don't focus on his wrestling ability, is it right for him? Sure.
