Would you let your kids watch WWE?

This is a spin-off from the News and Rumours Board. Personally if i had kids, i would definitely let them watch. But i would obviously monitor it. I would tape it and then fast forward over the parts that they didn't need to see. Wrestling is a great avenue for children to get lost within as i'm sure a lot of you have find memories of watching the grapplers go at it in your childhood.

Thoughts?

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

Yes, I agree with you. I would definitely preview and fastforward some of the stuff for younger kids. But I think when a kid get's about 14 they can watch anything WWE is broadcasting.

I won't fastfoward it..cuz then they will ask..what's that? i wanna see that? cuz kids get curious really easily..so i'll probably watch it while i tape it..and pause the bad part or stop it..so when i pop in the tape and let them watch it...it will be just bad editing..and i will blame on the tv station who is airing it..haha

Sure as long as I let them know you can't do that to another human without hurting or killing them.

Course, after I explain that it's just TV and that it's merely for entertainment.

Have to agree with Boz and Lynch. Would let them watch, but make them understand that they can't try any of those stunts at home.

Yes I would let my kids watch it. I don't want them growing up clueless in the world and sheltering them from any and everything out there. I will tech them to know the difference between what is real and what is not. I won't worry about them seeing anything sexually suggestive because there is nothing bad about it and hiding it from them is teaching them that it is wrong. I will just point out that it is stuff that is for adults and not children.

^^ Good point Ida. And besides, how do you know what your kids are watching when you're not home. There are much worse things on TV other than wrestling. Can't stand those people who bitch and moan about programming on TV. Maybe they should parented their kids and know what they are watching and monitor them a little more.

Yea, if i had kids, I would let them watch WWE...it is one of the best forms of entertainment out there and I wouldn't want them to miss out on it...I don't think I would monitor them and cut anything out either...as someone said, they gotta learn real from fake, good from bad, sooner or later...All i would do is explain the things that they wouldn't understand and such...

I would let my children watch it, It's done me no harm. However with time differences and scheduling WWE Programs are normally on late at night here, so I would tape it for them and then let them watch it the next day. And then if there was something I wouldn’t want them to watch I could always fast forward past it.

Edge will rise again...
