Speaking of Summerslam, Cena & Jericho...

We're all pretty sure Jericho won't walk out of Summerslam with a certian spinny piece of Cena Bling. As Simon and others pointed out, which I entirely agree with about a face chasing a heel champion is 99.9% of the time a better storyline. So, how bout this:

Cena/Jericho have thier grueling match, an exhausted Cena finally beats Y2J, Jericho follows up with a post match beatdown, referee's finally walk Jericho to the back, who is then passed by the running Edge, with briefcase in hand, opens up and signs it, demanding his match right now, spears and pins Cena to win the WWE title.

Now you have your hated heel champion, which would be a fresh face, a popular pissed off ex champ to chase him and feud to carry to the rumble where Cena regains it and HHH wins the Rumble. With rumors of Jericho taking time off after SS, Cena has nothing to do unless HBK stays heel. Edge as a suprise champ would add a nice freshness to the show, and give Cena a solid opponent for a good stretch, and Edge is certainly due, especially with HHH gone till Oct, be a nice twist of fate shall we say.

That's an awesome idea, after even have Matt Hardy go after the title against Edge. I dont think i could ever see Hardy winning the title, never say never but i just dont see it. But it'd give Hardy a main event rub and people could hate Edge even more for screwing over Matt and always coming out with the title in the end.

Most reports have Cena taking on Angle at Unforgiven. Plus, I don't see WWE blowing the Edge-Hardy feud off with one match at SS. I can see a double DQ or double countout or some finish to that effect and the feud with carry on for at least another month; maybe more if they play their cards right.

a lot of people have written that segment about Edge unlock the brief case and pin the champ after a beatdown by the champs opponent..i don't think WWE will do that angle yet..in this forum..we said Edge will do that on Batista..when Batista feuding with HHH..and did WWE went with that route? nope..what make u think WWE will do that on SS on Cena..if they didn't do it on Dave...so lookin at Cena to be a champ for awhile

every time I read this Edge idea I laugh a little, sure it's a good idea, but The Edge as champ, haha, bah I dont' really want that, I wouldn't really believe that.
simply b/c Cena is more charismatic, he is more believable than Edge as champ.
I mean, he's got the bling, the rapping, kids love him. he's at least as believable as Hulk ever was, haha, I might take shit for that.
on a side note, HHH is the most believable world champ they have.

As much as I would like to Cena drop the title, I do not want to see him lose it to Edge. WWE is trying to push Edge up to that main event status, but I just don't think he is there yet. He is not main even material yet I don't think. I would like to see Cena lose the belt to Jericho though.

Gotta agree with that. Have to admit though, that my opinion of Edge went south when I head of his affair with Lita. You never go after your best friends' partner.
