Rep Power: 18  | The Point You Realized Wrestling was Fake When was it? What happened? I remember growing up I firmly believed it to be real and I would argue it just as I would the existence of Santa. More and more though, I remember a Macho Man Vs. Hogan feud specifically...I believe the one on Saturday Night Main Event, I began to see that the punches were clearly not making any kind of real contact. It just all unfolded on me. It was a bit of a strange moment, no doubt. But it wasn't all that shocking. And wrestling is about entertainment anyway, not about reality. |

Rep Power: 4 | I dunno..I was young in the 80's and 90's and only saw some of those classics sparingly. I started watching full time basis during attitude era pretty much, and things were still kinda real for me. I guess I tried to believe it was real, even though I knew it was fake. I guess when Owen piledrived Austin and hurt his neck, I realized that it was really fake. Cause the purpose of the piledriver is to hurt your opponents neck, and then it was like oh shiet austin is down. |

Rep Power: 17 | I was at a live event. Had front row seats, Undertaker threw Yokozuna's head into the ring steps, but Yokozuna's head was no where near them. I kept asking why Taker didn't realize this and do something about it. I thought, "Yoko's fooling him! Watch out Taker!" Ugh.... | |

Quit looking at wrestling from the outside and enjoy it sometimes. As soon as you learned wrestling was fake you left from being a wrestling fan to a failer fan. Yall make wrestling boring.... |

If ur watching ufc and a guy misses a kick you think nothin of it. or he slips on the mat. Big deal. Wrestling is like a live theater play. But physical. It is not fake and that is my biggest pet peeve of all time. So stop saying its fake. Thats like saying every wrestler who has ever been in a ring that there life is fake. Rep Power: 15 | I don't know, I guess as I grew up it just started to seem more fake, like when you start to wonder how 1 person can deliver presents all over the world so you stop believing in santa I still like to pretent it's real though since it's more enjoyable. |
