The Return of Brock? Work, Shork, or Shoot?

As many of you know, Brock Lesnar was in "negotiations" with Vince McMahon and the WWE about a month or so back.

WWE.com has been giving us some 'news' that we aren't necessarly used to seeing. Is this whole thing a way to break news before some wrestling website can? Is it a way to work the 'smarks' into getting false hopes and rumors? Or is it just the WWE coming to realize that the internet is a powerful tool and it should be harnessed?

I personally don't know which one it is. If anything its a combo of them all in some manner.

With all that being said. Is Brock Lesnar as being reported completely done talking to the WWE? Or is this just a way to swerve the internet crowd when he shows up and F5's Batista into next Tuesday?


I will go with the latter.

i think the writers have discovered the internet. i think brock will definitely be back soon and that the news of him backing out is just an attempt to throw everyone off. but then again maybe not. i hope he does come back.

I think WWE wants us all to think that negotiations with Lesnar have failed so that when he shows up it will be a suprise.
My prediction? Lesnar will show up SummerSlam, F5 Batista during his no holds barred match with JBL, costing Batista his title. This will lead to program involving Lesnar & Batista. I think i'm the first here to predict that, so I hope it comes true.

a program like that should involve the title though. with JBL having the belt again, who could he possibly work with to top a lesnar-batista feud??

Well on the one hand, stuff that has been on WWE websites as of late has been turned into varius matches and storylines over the past couple of weeks. It wouldn't be the first time that the WWE tried to pull the wool over the eyes of the public. When Chris Benoit was going to jump to WWE from WCW, he did his best to deny every report until he did. I personally belived him until he Eddie, Saturn and Malenko were in the WWE crowd, front row center, watching the matches.

On the other hand, this is Brock Lesnar, he let that next big thing nonsense go to his head. He really dosn't seem to thrilled to return to the WWE after his NFL dreams went up in smoke. If he wants to return, he probibly wanted somthing big or ludacris that the WWE couldn't or didn't want to give him.

So I think it's true that they are in negotiations, but I feel the braking down in nogotiations may be a work so I feel Brock may be back.

I dunno, its hard to tell. Perhaps its all a work so we'll be surprised when he returns, but then again it could be legit. I hope brock returns soon, but if he doesn't i won't be too crushed.

It's hard to tell because of Brock Lesnar's personality. You never really know what could be going through his head.

Do I think they really had negotiations? Well..they did post pics of him on the site I think, and an interview, so I think he was definitley there to get a contract.

Whether he turned it down or not I don't know, but I really don't think WWE would put something on their website about a wrestling turning down an offer unless it was a work...

I could be wrong because wwe.com has been strange lately but I don't see how that would benefit them to post that on the site..

Heres my prediction JBL beats Batsita at Summerslam to win the World Title and on the following Smackdown JBL is in the ring going on how he as beat Batista, Eddie, Taker, Booker T, Big Show etc.. and theres nothing else for him to acheive makes it look like hes about to retire then Brocks music starts comes out with a mic and says "But you havent beat me" rushes to the ring and gives JBL an F5

^^ That may well be the way it goes but I hope not for a couple of reasons

(a) I don't wan't JBL in the main event pic and this would just be another way to keep him in the spotlight. If Matt Hardy has had 13 of his 15 minutes of fame, JBL has had 44 of his 15 minutes and counting!

(b) Personally I want Brock back as a heel.
