Are you guys excited about SummerSlam?

Simple question.


I don't know if I'd use the word "excited"...but I am looking forward to this PPV. The SummerSlam and Survivor Series PPVs haven't been as good as they usually are the last couple years, but this one looks like a real good, solid, lineup..

So far there are 5 matches announced, you can read spoilers to see what the rest may be, but as far as the announced matches...I'm liking the Hogan/HBK feud..the atmosphere will be great in that match and I'm thinking ol' HBK will put on a show. Hardy/Edge is interesting just because of it being a shork deal. Orton/Taker had a solid match at WM so that should be decent. Cena/Jericho..who knows? but I think it could be good, and I've enjoyed the feud. And then JBL/Batista...well, I'm not expecting much but the fact that it will be No Holds Barred should make it at least a little better than the match at the Bash..

So..you guys into this?

Eugene/HHH
Taker/JBL
Eddie/Angle..

This year's show has to be better than that.

All those matches (Batista-JBL not included) are ones that I'm really looking forward to. I suppose Orton-Taker will probably not be quite what it was at Mania. These "receipt" matches always seem to be not quite what the original was, e.g Eddie-Angle, Angle-HBK so hopefully this one will prove the exception. I suppose part of the downside is it seems far more obvious who's winning this time round. To be honest, I'd buy the show just to watch HBK-Hogan's match for the ages.

i don't think i will be buying it..but just for the cards..is pretty solid..and is really hard for me to predict some of the matches out come

It wont be better than Wrestlemania! Ive got all the faith in the world in HBK BUT do you think he can pull anything out of Hogan now!?

Im not a big fan of the Undertaker/Orton fued.

That being said I will be buying it!

I'm kinda pumped, ya HBK/Hogan won't exactly be a 4 star classic, but if it can get to same emotional level as Hogan/Rock then thats fine. I like the fact that Orton will prolly go over taker, I think that Cena/Jericho will be a lot better than ppl suspect, Cena is a capable athlete, just not good at putting together matches, but if someone calls it for him, he does well. Hardy vs. Edge will be interesting. Hopefully Angle does something other than feud with Eugene, maybe a little revitalizing of Benjamins career, but they need to fire it up fast. CCC needs a match, maybe vs RVD and a quick squash if he's not 100%.

I am making a change in the master lock breaking, I'm thinkin maybe not the big show, but the returning Brock Lesnar. The WWE site says that Lesnar doesn't want to work with them, the WWE NEVER announces stuff like that. So I think he's definitely in, plus the return of HHH, should be a good, if not important show. I HOPE!

So yeah.. im excited merely because it looks like Eddie will be there... but will definatlry turn the tv over when Cena come on.

This isnt a 'anti cena' trend either.. If he was a heel I would love him.. but he is pathetic as a face

yes, I would like to see the fans turn on Cena like they did with Rock back in the day. I'm excitied for summerslam, but I'll probably just catch in on DVD if it is good. The Hogan/HBK match is the one I am most interested in.

Summerslam does look very promising...JBL vs. Batista in a No Holds Barred should be pretty good and I like the Randy Orton vs. Undertaker feud...I really don't know what to expect of Cena and Jericho...but the HBK vs. Hogan is bound to be a great match, even if Hogan is a little old and wrinkled...Both Hogan and HBK have the charisma to bring the building down!
