wwe ruinin smackdown again!

i think this is complete BS! hassan was on his way to becoming one of the greastest heels we have seen inn a lonng time. not to mention the way the whole gab went was shitty. can we trade writers from raw to smackdown. hopefully wwe is smart and sends hassan back to raw so he doesn't get sent back to ovw cause that would be the biggest bonehead move that wwe has done since making triple h tap out to beniot on raw!!!!!!!

I hate to break it to you, but Hassan wasn't as over as most people on this board seem to believe. Think about it.

He was in a program with Hogan and HBK and did that genearte any buys for Backlash? No, the number of buys was actually lower than last year's Backlash.

Shortly after Hogan-HBK, WWE were positioning Hassan to be in an angle with Steve Austin, which was to culminate in a match at SummerSlam. But WWE scrapped that angle after deciding Hassan wasn't over enough as a heel for Austin to have his big comeback match against.

The angle they filmed with 'Taker back on July 4, there was ZERO crowd reaction to it.

Unfortunately for Hassan, he just wasn't able to get over as a heel. If he was as over as some people believe, WWE would still be fighting to keep this guy on the air. They decided that the Hassan character wasn't worth the fight, and thus, gave in to UPN's demands.

--As a personal note, I thought Hassan was good on the mic and was one of the better OVW call-ups in recent memory. He was still green in the ring but the thing that ultimately hurt his character is that the fans didn't really "hate" or despise his character. Rather, they were more annoyed with him and thus tuned him out and never took him seriously as a top guy. I do think it's a shame he's no longer on TV, as he might've developed into a top guy in the future.

Hassan was the second biggest heel the wwe had. Right behind Triple H.

Ok first addressing the buyrate issue. Backlash last year had the rematch of the match that must fans (not me) considered to be Match of the Year. Secondly, no heat? When he first started on TV he was having to be escorted out of arena's he had so much heat. And to address the backing down and taking him off air. Well wrestling just doesn't do the ratings were it can dictate what it does on air. WWE had to scrabble around for it's latest TV deals, they no longer are in the best position to negotiate.

Just my view, I was a Hassan Mark from the start so I get a bit more worked up than most people on this subject.

I had a sig, once.

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGT!!!!!!

Get yourself an old wrestling tape. Watch Flair in his prime, Terry Funk, The Road Warriors, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, Barry Windham, The Andersons, Pat Patterson, The Briscoes, and I dare you,... I dare you to try to tell me that WWE is even a remotely good product. Wrestling happened before 1998 and just because you didn't see it does not mean it did not exist. Broaden your horizons people!!!

Um ... no. Angle, Carlito, JBL, Christian, Randy Orton heck even Edge were/are more over than Hassan.
