How is this Matt Hardy thing gonna play out?

My question though is.......


"How will this Matt Hardy STORYLINE play out?"

Perhaps I didnt word it correctly. I dont care about his long term sucess in the WWE (in this particluar thread) but his overall character development throughout this Edge fued.

I liked the idea of it not being done at summerslam. Maybe hae Hardy not show up every week live, but have him always do something. Maybe Edge finds his car smashed up in the lot with some ind of sign that it was hardy, I don't know but things just constantly making Edge's life harder and him more paranoid without the every week run in handcuffing, because that makes Matt look like a chump. Then maybe have Edge try to be smart and use his Money in the bank shot at summerslam after Cena beats Jericho, and have Matt cost him the shot, thus pushing Edge to finally demand that Matt be aloud in so he can settle it

Well, the thing about this angle, is that the story itself is much bigger than the match. So a series of matches, no matter how good, will not have the impact thats wanted. The first one will, then the novelty is gone, Matt is back, and Edge banged his chick, thru an angle done online instead of WWE tv.

The way I would play it out, short version: Matt continues to attack on RAw, finally they let him speak, rants his rant, Vince appears to basically say, "Ok since the fans want it, you get Edge, but I'm gonna make money on this, so its a non sanctioned match at Summerslam. As a bonus, if you win, you can go to Smackdown, where you won't be so 'distracted.' If you lose, it's done, no deal and full charges will be pressed if you appear again"

Matt gets the win, and they give it a shot of remarketing him on Smackdown. One match with Edge, maybe a bump on Lita, and thats it, anymore is overkill. My 2 cents.

No offence but the only reason Matt is a money maker is because of this whole feud. I would say he was when he was on SD! but not sine he got moved to Raw, until now.

Persoanlly I have no idea what Vince has in mind but I would put big money that he is in charge of this one.

There is no way for this to play out but have it go on at SummerSlam in a street fight between the two and be done with it..

Will WWE try to do something with these two past SS? Probably. But it will fail, because in reality nobody wants to see more than one match between the two.

So...like some have already said, you have Matt show up one more time, he gets handcuffed and is on his way out, but then Vince shows up and the two have a talk. Vince agrees to have the match at SS but says he will not sanction it..like the whole HHH/HBK SS match a few years back..

Then Vince tells security to kick Matt's ass out of the building and the match is set..No more run-ins..no more anything. Matt gets his match, we get what we want to see, and I could give a shit less what happens to Matt/Edge/Lita afterwards..

see I don't get the Matt hate. He was a solid worker and unlike his brother was dedicated and very involvd in his craft. I've never been a huge Matt Hardy (or Jeff) fan but the dude was a damn good mid-carder on smackdown. It's not his fault the "writers" dropped the ball on Raw, and he is big enough that with work he could be a main eventer, cause the dude is still young.

I think ths feud if played out and booked right could have legs for a while with the two trying to one up the srewing over of the other all the time

In my opinion, the second this turns from shork to work..it's over. What else could they possible come up with unless Lita fucks some more guys?

Play Edge has super-dick heel just like last night, have Lita continue to play the conflicted role, have Eric bar Matt from the building after he shows up for a few more shows, follw this with Vince over-ruling Eric and make the streetfight for SummerSlam, Matt terrories Edge leading to the match while Edge continues to rub his fling in everyone's face. Then let them fight--not for real, but snug with hardway juice all over the arena let them end it in the ring, with both men down have Lita help Matt win.

But instead of the usual big embrace happy ending, Twist of Fate, Matt leaves maybe even with Trish to tie the whole thing together.
