Cena taking a back seat

When John Cena won the WWE Title at Wrestlemania 21, he was shafted in a way by having his continuing feud with JBL for the WWE Title be shot to the mid-card and the Eddie-Rey feud is what got all the attention and main event time. Even after Judgment Day, he was still in the middle of the show

Then, he got drafted to Raw. The very next week, he and Jericho squared off against Christian and Tomko, and it was in the middle of the show. This is understandable because the Batista-HHH feud was still going on for the World Heavyweight Championship. However, Batista is on Smackdown now and Cena is now taking a backseat to Michaels and Hogan, always appearing in the middle of the show. For a WWE Champion, he sure is being treated like a mid-carder holding the belt. I know it's Hogan and Michaels, but still, WTF.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no Cena fan or anything but he IS the WWE Champion and in a feud with Jericho, a damn world title feud could be treated better.

Its because you cant focus the show around anyone other than HHH, HBK, Taker, Angle, or JBL

Rule #1 of WWE Booking

Actually, I've liked how they've handled Cena since he came to Raw

There's plenty of time for Cena to be the main event week in and week out. Hogan and HBK will be over in a few weeks, and there'll be a void.. which Cena will fill. So be patient - he may be champ, but that doesn't mean he has to be stamped all over the show each week.

3D brings up a good point. Unless Cena becomes a mainstream star like the Rock and leaves the WWE, he's got tons of main events in his future. I guess taking a backseat to two legends like HBK and Hogan isnt that bad, at least for now. After Summerslam, however, I think Cena (assuming he's still champ), should be more of the focus of the show

Well what bothers me is that they have handled him well, but its just a buildup for when HHH comes back to take the belt. I have no problem there becuase HHH is 10 times the star Cena is.

Get yourself an old wrestling tape. Watch Flair in his prime, Terry Funk, The Road Warriors, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, Barry Windham, The Andersons, Pat Patterson, The Briscoes, and I dare you,... I dare you to try to tell me that WWE is even a remotely good product. Wrestling happened before 1998 and just because you didn't see it does not mean it did not exist. Broaden your horizons people!!!

Personally I think HHH should win the second or third match between them. It wouldn't be right for a guy like HHH to lose a title match that many times in a row. I don't want to see him feud for the title, but if he does he should eventually win.

Who cares if Triple H takes the belt from Cena? You're acting like Cena will never hold the title again..If he stays in the company he might end up being a 10-time World champ himself..

Oh most definately. At this point in time if you weigh Cena against HHH, HHH is gonna win in terms of star power anyday. They need to keep those 2 apart till like December, becuase they need to build Cena as a credible star in comparison with HHH.

Well...I agree on that. These two should be kept away from each other for a while, because A) Triple H needs a little time away from the main event picture, and B) Cena needs to go on a bit of a roll..

Don't get me wrong, if Cena ever lost to Jericho I'd be really happy about it, but I'm being realistic here, so after the Jericho feud, Cena should prolly move on to Edge or something, and then Triple H..
