Has WWE Killed net rumors?

Well..have they?

It's an interesting question. I remember a while back when net rumors were a big new thing in wrestling, and you could basically find out what WWE's plans were months in advance...

Yeah, you can still find out some things, but I'd say a good percentage of "net rumors" have very little these days in what I'd call a reliable source..

The way WWE has been handling things whether it be with the firings, the draft, Brock Lesnar, Matt Hardy, the HBK heel turn...it's all made wrestling very interesting for me again. I think it was Ida who said something like he feels like a kid again with everything being a surprise..and quite honestly I love watching wrestling a million times more when I don't know what's going to happen..

So has WWE found out ways to kill these rumors or are they just having a string of good luck or other?

I hope they have killed rumors and leaks..

Vince is a crafty and successful business man.

I would say that they have found a good way to kill net rumors but it is no where near fool proof in design.

I would also agree that it makes watching wrestling more enjoyable when you have the "anything could happen" factor added in.

I doubt very seriously any of these events you mention were kept secret by just being lucky.

I think they just beat them to the punch and make things known and tell less people about things they don't want known. It is not that hard to keep something secret. Just don't tell the Raw or SD employees anything that is going on. Keep it all management until others need to know and is too late to matter if it is leaked.

I don't know why true wrestling fans want to have wrestling sites that do nothing but thrive off of finding out what might happen or give away storylines. Yes, sometimes it can be fun to get an inside schoop now and then but isn't it really more fun and enjoyable to be surprised and not know? You can't find a better answer to that question than last night.

I think a lot of rumors got killed the day WWE boughyt WCW, every time a wrestlers contract was in the last 6 months they were always being linkedto the rival company

I find wrestling hard to watch if i know whats going to happen and I am waiting for a part of the show that sounded most interesting. Its hard to watch filler material when you know what the big surprises are already.
