Raw Thoughts

Well, what did you guys think. Here are my thoughts

Pros

Everything except the Diva Search segment

Cons

The Diva Search segment

Seriously, I loved every single minute of Raw this week with the exception of the Diva Search. One of the best Raws of the year

What detailed analysis. lol

Here are my thoughts. I will start with the cons:

Cons:

The Diva Search bullshit. I am so glad that beatch Alexis tossed. She was a really fugly chick.

I honestly didnt care less about HBK's explaination because I was so excited about the Matt Hardy thing. They should have done that at the 10 oclock hour.

Give Chris Masters someone bigger or more entertaining than Tajiri to wrestle. I know they are slowly building him up, but a win over a bigger guy would mean so much more.

Pros:

The Matt Hardy angle was not only done to perfection but it the best TV the WWE has produced in years.

The HBK heel turn looks like a slow turn. I dug his promo (although poorly timed)

I personally LOVED the Benjamin/CCC match. I found it to be extremely entertaining.

More later.....................(baby is awake)

I finally played live and it was fantastic.

Pros: The Hardy thing, I'm glad everyone involved could get over themselves and do what is right for the business. This is the angle that Edge needs to become a main event heel, and Hardy needs it to esatblish himself as much needed part of WWE.

The Carlito, Jericho, Piper segment was simply amazing they all 3 remind me so much of each other. I smell a cage match with Carlito and Benjamin for Summerslam. So WWE can produce TV without HHH. I have a feeling he will show up during the Jericho /Cena match. Byt the way Cena gets major props this week. He may not be super in the ring, but man this guy can fire up a crowd, and cut a good promo.

Cons: Sorry to all you big Masterlovers here, but if you haven;t noticed they are booking any and all his matches like shit. If he is supposed to be so amazing how come he only has gotten like a total of 6 offensive moves in during his matches with Val Venis, Richards, and Tajiri, and that's combined. He has been dominated in every match he has had so far and it really is hurting him in the eyes of the fans (notice the dead silence for his matches).

HBK's interview was crap. I blindsided Hogan so I could have his last match, bullshit. Just stupid. I don't want HBK as a creepy heel he almost looks like a serial killer dressed in an angel outfit, just staring like that. Not the way theis turn should be going. Last but not least THE BOOGEYMAN!!!!! boy I sure am scared of that. Not since Doink the Clown was heel have I seen something so silly. I guess WWE's target here is to scare 5 year old kids.

Get yourself an old wrestling tape. Watch Flair in his prime, Terry Funk, The Road Warriors, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, Barry Windham, The Andersons, Pat Patterson, The Briscoes, and I dare you,... I dare you to try to tell me that WWE is even a remotely good product. Wrestling happened before 1998 and just because you didn't see it does not mean it did not exist. Broaden your horizons people!!!

It before Edge and Kane I think. It was so lame.

Yeah, I missed that too...Actually, I missed the backstage Hardy tease as well. When Kane came on screen, I flipped to the homerun derby on ESPN

You are wrong about Chris Masters. I have said this many times now. I seen him in a dark match and not only was it a good match, but he did more than 6 moves and even had a finisher. Not sure what match you were watching but some of the spots he did involved a lot of timing and he made it look easy and with little effort. I agree he is being booked poorly but that is the bookings fault not his.

I don't know why people always act so surprised when a heel gets dominated by the face when they are the new kid on the block. Does everyone have to be booked like Brock lesner? They want him to be able to show that he can sell and pull off a good match. You can't do that if all you are doing is squashing your opponents. He is paying his dues.

Pros:

I loved the whole Y2J/Carlito/Piper segment. That was some fun tv right there.

1 less Diva for us to deal with. I don't mind the Diva segments that much. I am not going to moan over it and exagerate how horrible it is when it could be worse. Looking at hot chics for a few mins is better than a lot of other things they could do.

What can I say,Matt freakin Hardy! There isn't enough words to describe how awesome of a surprise this was. SOMEONE said not to give credit to Vince for this storyline and that Matt wrote his own fate. Yes, Matt did write his own Twist of Fate but Vince had the balls to go through with it and allow it to be on our TV. They also did his return perfectly. Why can't their writers do this with everything?

The HBK/Hogan feud beginning. This should be interesting to see where this will go. They fit so well together as faces, so it should ring the same as a feud.

Cons:

I am starting to miss not seeing HHH. Yes I know, people are happy to not see him on there TV but the guy is one of the top guys in WWE and that isn't going to change no matter how many times people complain. He is needed as a top player and should return soon. I just wish it would not be in a feud for the title right away is all.

HBK's reason as to why he did what he did to Hogan. Well, he didn't really give us a heel reason for doing it and I hope Vince tells HBK to step it up and become the asshole of old. Otherwise this could be a very boring dull feud. Come on HBK! Start being a ****y prick! It is in you to do this!

I thought RAW was very entertaining last night. Here's what I liked, didn't like

Pros:
-Matt Hardy returning. Glad to see all sides decided to do what was right for business. This has the potential to be a breakthrough feud for both Edge and Hardy if it's done properly.

-We got a little explanation as to why Triple H has been off T.V. I really like how they are selling how devastating the match was for the Triple H character. The way it was presented though makes one believe that Triple H could be coming back as a face, as the segment last night was designed to get Triple H some sympathy from the fans. Now that he's been away, I'm excited for him to comeback (not too soon) and for him to explain why he was gone.

-Opening segment with Y2J, Carlito and Piper was great.

-Cena's promo with Y2J was great, he carried the segment.

-Shelton and Carlito had a good match and Carlito's walking away continues their feud.

-HBK's backstage segment. I liked when he was goofing with the camerman saying things like "Too fast for ya?" and "Get that guy out of my shot," while someone walked by in the background.

Cons:
-Masters sold too much for Tajiri. He should be dominating that kind of competition.

-Diva Search.

-HBK's promo. Tough to follow up the Matt Hardy return. It would've been more effective had they spaced the two out more.

Here's my thing. Masters is not being portrayed as the kind of character that should be getting destroyed in his matches. He is huge, has good physique, and the announcers put him over as such an amazing thing. That is hard to believe when we see the man getting destroyed for several minutes by guys who haven't won a match in as long as i can remember. They either need to quit pushing him so hard as this monster, or have him out squashing people. The people will never buy him as any kind of threat if he is selling several straight minutes to Tajiri, Venis, and Richards. If paying your dues means ruining any shot you have at being a success in the business, then I guess yeah, he can keep paying until he's jobless.

Get yourself an old wrestling tape. I just think they want to have him be the monster but not be the mirror to Brock and push him the same way. I think Brock put a bad taste in the mouths of WWE mangement and they don't want that happening to them again so they are mixing it up a little to keep the wrestler grounded and not giving him too big of an ego. They are making him look like a monster with the challenge and the Masterlock, while also having him look like what he is, a Rookie who is new to the biz. He is winning the matches after all and being beat up a bit by a vet of the ring for a few mins before he squashes them, is a way of telling that story.
