Is Hulkamania still alive?

Do you think that Hulkamania is still alive, or that it already died. If you think it's dead, who do you think killed it? Hulkamania is represented by the fans, and the majority still like him so I guess it's still running wild! :happy: Unless HBk kills it for a while so Hogan can do a his show or something..haha.

I think Hogan and Hulkamania are dead... He still recieves massive ovations but no one really believes he can compete with the current roster. Hogan today is merely nostalgia for any wrestling fan 20yrs and older. Hulkamania ended long ago... However, Hogan is still good for the business as long as he puts over new talent... and Carlito's recent loss doesnt to him doesnt really hurt him, as long as he gets some sort of retribution later.

I agree, the Hulkamania we all once knew and loved in most cases, is long dead..It was dead when Hogan lost to Yokozuna and went to WCW..

I don't count that little run Hogan had in WCW as the real Hulkamania..Yeah, he got real big again with the nWo but that's not really Hulkamania..That was something entirely different..I guess it was nice to see him come back against the Rock at WM18 and it's still nice to see him every now and then, but it's not really "Running Wild"..It's just nostalgia as Starscream pointed out.

I don't want to see Hogan beating young talent anymore, but this angle with HBK is interesting, so Yeah, Hogan still has his place, but I don't think the ratings would jump up rapidly or anything if Hogan was around on a weekly basis..I think people cheer massively for Hogan now out of respect and because we don't see him very often. I'm not sold that everyone would want to see him become a part of the active roster.

Hulkamainia will never die as long as it is alive in the hearts and minds of us little hulksters. You can't really say if its dead or alive cause you can't kill and ideal, and a form of popularity. Its like saying democracy is dead or love or something like that. Hulk Hogan will die someday and I can gurantee you it will be one of the biggest funerals this country has ever seen. People will remeber this man as a great American Icon for a very long time. I think he will have a place in wrestling in some capacity until he can no longer function. Him and Flair will still be begging to wrestle when they are 95.
