Disecting wrestlers.

Personally I love the threads in here when we get on track with a wrestler and everone has there veiw, gives ideas, say what they hate/love about them, where they think they should go.

Thing is we only do it about around 5 guys, HHH, JBL, Christian, Cena and Batista.

I thought as an intresting thread we could name a wrestler then after 24 hours of veiws and discussion the first poster after 14:00 hours New York time (7pm British) picks the next wrestler to go with. Lets try to keep it current WWE roster so we all dont have to look up some guy who hasnt been seen by the mainstream in the last year.

To keep it fair I`ll let the next poster decide the first guy.

I had a sig, once.

Pluses -

Believability. You can believe he is that annoying!
Pretty good in ring.
Works the crowd well.
Good facials and mannerisms

Minuses -

It will come in time, but he'll need to build a portfolio of top notch matches to get him to the next level after all he won't get there just on being a huge guy which brings me to....
Needs to increase his bulk, he looks quite skinny and small out there at times, if he's going to make it to the top.

In greatest JR tone "This boy is a stuck on Blue-Chipper"

Absoloutly phenomonal on a microphone Carlito is the full package. Smooth in the ring, able to build a match and a fued the future seems to hold no bounds for the cool one. His fued last year for the US title with John Cena cemented two upper-carders, no mean feat when you consider that The majority of observers said that WWE couldnt do that anymore. Now tho come Carlito`s biggest test. The fact that he was at the top of the Smackdown card when unfortunatly getting injured has been forgotten as he jumped str8 into Raw and won the IC championship but now Carlito has to look around and see that there are giants all around him and he has to do something to stand tall. The first set of giants are quite simpily the physical size of the guys on Raw. Benoit and Eddie showed us that little guys can get to the top but on the the whole they turned out to be the exception rather than the rule. Carlito needs to keep himself looking credible in the ring with the big guys and I hope "creative" doesnt feel the need to give him "muscle", a la Jesus, to keep him safe. I hope they let him stand on his own two feet and let him keep credibility that way (Plus the only big guy fitting that role right now would by TT and everyone agrees he needs to be kept off TV). The second set of giants he faces are giants of wrestling politics. Raw is currently saturated with them. HBK, HHH, Hogan even Angle. These guys all clamber for the belts and the storylines at the top of the card. Carlito needs either stroke offa these guys or a few timley injuries to let him have a run at the top. Personally I could see Carlito easily turning as he is already a tweener in my eyes, and his sound abilities and charisma could make him as big a sucess as the Rock but unfotunatly he just isnt as physically as big as The Rock. Lets hope that doesnt hold this guy back.

You know how I always say Chrsitian doesnt have the "it" factor? Well, Carlito most certainly has it. i think he's oozing charisma, and has played his part well

What we need to see from him now, is if he can work a great match. Can he go for 15-20 minutes and keep the crowd interested? Thats what will determine if he's the next Rock, or just another mid-carder

I personally thought his offerings with Cena did that but a few more big offerings from the mid-card of the PPV`s would really cement it.

Well..I saw Carlito work a 20 min. match at Vengeance with Shelton and that kept me interested, but it could have been just Shelton..I'm not sure. They didn't let Carlito get that much offense in.

Now, when I look at Carlito I do see a big future for him. When I think about who I should compare Carlito to, I'm thinking he's like the Puerto Rican Ric Flair. He's ****y like a young nature boy, people like seeing Carlito get tossed around the ring, Carlito even moves around the ring like Flair with the face plants and stumbling around, and then wins matches out of nowhere just when you think he's had it, another trait that Flair had..

The only thing is that Carlito needs to be respected by people for some of his moves like Falir was..Everyone knew that Flair at some point in the match was going to go after the leg and try and slap on the figure four. Carlito needs the same type of thing for people to be afraid of..He needs a submission finisher or a finisher like Orton's where it can come out of nowhere and beat somebody..

Pros on Carlito:

-He has great mic ability at a young age.
-He moves around the ring like a real wrestler.
-People already like him as a "cool" heel (like Flair or Rock)
-He's very young and has a lot of time to develop

Cons on Carlito:

-He needs to bulk up a little but not too much.
-He needs a finisher.
-He needs to be booked properly (no more losses to Hogan, etc.)
-He needs a storyline with a great wrestler or speaker to have a full affect.

I agree that he needs a finisher. That's first and foremost. He might wanna bulk up a little too

You still on about the Hoigan thing? Lol all he did was get pushed out of the ring. I mean come on. Hogan is 3 times his size.

The only real thing that I wish was different with Carlito is that I wish he was bigger. His size may play a negative factor down the road in deciding how big and far he goes with regards to being the top guy in WWE. I know that might sound superficial but I think it is also true. If he is bulked up a bit then it might change how he looks over all in regards to his hight. He is 5'10 so says WWE.COM but either he is really around 5'8 or he just comes off looking shorter because of his build. I wonder if his height includes his hair? lol

Yes, I'm still going on about the Hogan thing, but at least we saw a tremendous heel turn from HBK to brighten my day..

Anyway, the consensus (sp?) around here seems to be that the only thing carlito really needs to do is add the finishing move and bulk up some and he could be an all-time great.. Read my previous post again, don't you guys think he's like a young Ric Flair?
