Early Thoughts on The Mexicools

Well, we have seen these guys now for a week as a stable..or I don't know maybe you haven't seen them. Anyway, Bouch wants them fired already..


You guys all know who Super Crazy, Psychosis, and Juventud are anyhow, but if you didn't see it, their gimmick is basically that they are Mexican, (They carry around the flag) and that they are all better and cooler than us Americans..Juventud is the speaker it seems and they aren't bad in the ring, but my question is..


Do you think this gimmick has a chance in hell of working? I think it might, because SD! has become a "Mexican" wrestling show with Eddie and Rey dominating the action, and I know that UPN gets big ratings out of the Spanish community in the U.S. for SD! each week.

Thoughts? I think they are dumb, but that's just me..and I'm a stupid White Cracker.

I agree. Stupid gimmick, not unlike Savio Vega's stable that I can never spell correctly. The only difference being they were from Puerto Rico without a lawn mower. No one gave a damn about them, and I'm guessing this be the same.

I'm actually surprised WWE would even want Juvatud after the way he was fired from WCW.

This is pretty sad commentary on the quality of writers working for WWE if this is the best gimmick they can come up with for these 3 guys. I think most of us here on this board could come up with something more compelling than having 3 guys come out in a lawnmower and complain about how they are more than just "our" (translation: white folk) janitors or garbage men. It's a stupid idea that once again, insults the intelligence of the fans. This gimmick might've had a chance to get over, but when Eddie and Rey are 2 of the more popular guys in WWE and both are from Mexico, I don't see how they can have "Mexicools" come out and complain about all of this stuff when Eddie and Rey have never been mistreated by WWE GM's (I'm talking storylines here, not real life) as it regards title matches and spot on the card; or have they been insulted by the fans for being Mexican.

I like Juvi, Super Crazy and Psicosis but I DO NOT like this gimmick. Hopefully it will not last long.

Who in the hell greelighted that BS name? WCW's fired writers?

I'm glad WWE is trying to make us think they want to actually do something with the cruiserweight division, but they have been promising to have light heavyweights since Wrestlemania 14 and guees what? They have not come up with or supported a cruiser division or have even ever thought of it. So all I have to say to the Mexicools is, Welcome to Velocity, I'm sorry you got the shaft, but hey your making more money than you ever have right?

Yes, I agree DJ, the gimmick is garbage, but I'm wondering if this has to do with SD! being popular with Spanish people..You know, they'll have these guys come out and say shit about white people and then the Spanish audience will like it..

I hope they get booed by everyone so that WWE has to make a change.

It's nice that they are bringing in more cruiserweights but I really would like it even more if they used them properly. First of all, what is a mexicool? It sounds like a drink you could get at Taco Bell! "Hmmm yes I would like two crunchy tacos with a medium Mexicool." I'm sure these 3 fellas are talented but the name and gimmick just makes me go blah- especially the uniforms and lawn mower.
