Well..now that the draft is complete (for the most part, might be some trades), The first BIG post-draft PPV is SummerSlam. I'm really looking forward to this year's show because last year's was a big dissapointment for me. It didn't have that spark that most SS's have had in the past. So what do you guys think this year's card should look like?

Here's my card:

RAW Matches

WWE Championship Match
John Cena vs. Chris Jericho-I would love to see Chris get the shot here one on one with Cena. The two could have some great promos together leading up to the event and Jericho can always put on a good match.

Triple H vs. Kurt Angle-I used to love it when these guys would go at it. They have two months to put together a solid program for these two to work with and the match could be a great one. Plus, we could see more interaction between Flair and Angle laeding up to the match and that's always fun.

Shawn Michaels vs. Shelton Benjamin-I want to see Shelton turn heel. He's been so stale of late his character really needs a change. I like it when Shelton is playing a little ****y like the time he was beeing interviewed by Maria. He needs to take that to the extreme, and we already know that these two can put on a great match. HBK could help Shelton's career big time.

Intercontinental Championship Match w/ Hardcore Rules
Carlito vs. Rob Van Dam-We saw RVD come back to RAW this past week and he looked as great on the mic as he has since his debut in WWE in 2001. I'm hoping he is ready to roll by this time. Carlito, I love on the mic too as the prick heel that he is. I have to throw the Hardcore Rules into this match because RVD needs to go back to the old RVD.

Chris Masters vs. The Big Show-This should be Masters first big PPV match and I think The Big Show is the right opponent, because he can make a Masters win look impressive. I'd have Big Show be the one to break the Masterlock Challenge and then Masters attack Show post-challenge and lay him out. Have Show come back from injury a week before the PPV and lay Masters out and then Masters can pick up the win at the PPV.

Smackdown! Matches

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Batista vs. JBL-Ok..Batista is the champ on SD! and the predictable opponent is JBL here. I'll make JBL look ok, but Dave will pick up the win. Post-Match, Edge runs out and attacks Dave, signs the contract for Money in the bank and wins the title. He has the heat now so he has to do something with it. (The tricky part is that I need Edge to get traded and then, I want Teddy Long to turn heel at some point and it will explain why Edge was allowed to use his title shot on the show)

Randy Orton vs. Undertaker-This will be the rematch to the good match they put on at WM21. Orton picks up the win here because there is no streak on the line, and it doesn't damage the Taker to take the loss.

United States Championship Match
Eddie Guerrero vs. Chris Benoit-The match they had at ECW was a little bit of a letdown, but it was still decent. Eddie's heel turn I don't like, but I can't turn him yet, so he takes on Benoit and this time picks up the win but the two have a great match. By the way, OJ doesn't have his title anymore.

Rey Mysterio vs. Edge-Rey picks up a win here on Edge to keep his roll going and then Edge picks up the title at the end of SS. Unlucky break for little Rey Rey.

Booker T vs. Christian-Use this as CLB's first step to the main event. Booker has been on a roll and it all ends tonight, with The Captain.

Cruiserweight Championship Elimination Match
London-Juventud-Psychosis-Super Crazy-Chavo-Funaki-I'll have London keep the title here, it what will be a quick, but action-packed match with all the new guys in there.

Damn dude, I think these are pretty much dead on with what they will end up doing.

I agree that JBL and Batista will go at it a couple times. I wouldnt even be suprised if JBL wins the title off Batista at Great American Bash, only to have Batista win it back at Summerslam. That could be made into one fantastic rivalry if done right.

To be completely honest with you I have a feeling it will be Edge vs. Matt Hardy at Summerslam. Call me crazy, but I still think Vince knows whats best for Vince in the long run. I believe that Edge and Lita are together right now to build up your disgust for them. Its working.

I like your Booker T/ Christian match. Its absolutely what they SHOULD do, lets see if that's how they roll. I have a feeling they are finally picking up on the mark internet buzz on Christian.

The Chris Masters/Big Show match may not happen but I agree that he will most likely be the one to break the Lock. Either that or they could have Big Show taunt Masters. Masters would refuse to put the Masterlock on him because of the obvious results. This would be a great fued, but it would have to work so that neither guy looks bad. I would honestly wait on it, but its a good idea.


I would like it so much better if RVD entered back into the World Title picture. He is almost above the IC and not quite World Title. The proper push with his new edge would certainly not take too long to get over though. I still say the dude needs a new look.

Overall though its some great concepts. I think trades are going to play a factor in the final rosters. I think they need to be done by Friday night not sure...

That is some wishful thinking.

We all know its gonna be HHH beating Cena at Summerslam.

Kurt Angle vs. HBK 3 will also be on the show possibly 2 out of 3 falls.

Bradshaw vs. Batista will be the most brutal match you see this year

Carlito vs. RVD will happen but I think RVD can do so much better than the IC title.

Taker/Orton will also happen and Orton will get his receipt

I have a feeling that Eddy vs. Rey will happen as well and I also think it will be a ladder match for the U.S. title.

In a big time dream match they could combine two fueds and have Kane and Taker fight Edge and Orton that's not a horrible idea.

My big match for Summerslam if WWE could pull their heads out of their asses would be to bring in Matt HArdy and do the match with Edge before all the heat wears off.

Nah, I was just posting to give my thoughts on what WWE should do in my opinion while trying to stay somewhat realistic about it, like for example, I didn't bring up Triple H moving to SD! or something that will most likely never happen.

I'd love to see Matt vs. Edge too but I'm not sure about how that will all play out.

Anyway, thanks for the thoughts...I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this year's SummerSlam.. I'm very interested in what they will do.

Well, they have till the end of the year to do Edge vs. Matt Hardy. If I have learned anything its that casual wrestling fans have short attentin spans. They already know very little about the actual situation and they will forget if they hold off on it any longer. The potential fued will lose its heat if they wait too long to pull the trigger.

In regards to the Matt Hardy v Edge feud... WWE needs to start this properlly now. If Matt Hardy is indeed going to come back they should tease his return for a few weeks and then maybe 2 weeks before Summerslam have him actually return in person. If they hold this feud off past Summerslam, then they've really shot themselfs in the foot, as the interest in the feud would have died down. This could have possibly been one of the best angles in WWE history, yet like so many others with potential I think the writers will screw it up.

Also whats the deal with Edge's title shot... Is it a World Heavyweight Title shot (meaning a shot at Batistas belt) or a Title Shot (meaning he can go against Cena for his belt?) Because if it's the former he could argue he's been screwd out of another title shot.

That would be my card but of course there are the possible additions of the dudleys & matt hardy should they all return in time.

I've always thought a cool storyline existed within the drafting.

For example, Christian gets an angle where he's really pissed off that he has left RAW and he can no longer get back at Cena for denying him the title at Vengeance. He pulls the "it was my biggest chance ever and I missed out blah blah blah". He begs both General Manager's (as only Christian can) for a shot to get at Cena and win the title. Some kind of stipulation is arranged where like if Christian wins ten matches straight or beats Batista in some big match or SOMETHING then it would be assumed he is deserving of another crack at Cena. Whatever the seemingly impossible stipulation is, it will make CHristian look like a big time player if he pulls it off.

He accomplishes, either cheaply or cleanly, depending on whether you want him heel or face (obviously accompanied by promos etc. to either win over the crowd or not), and eventually goes into some big cross-promotional match with Cena.

I just think the whole draft thing leaves itself open to a couple of cool angles.

Even Triple H vs. Batista. How cut must Hunter be after going down 3-0 and now his big rival and title have both been taken away?

Oh yeah, I don't mind that idea for Christian at all..I think they can push him hard on SD! for the next few months to make him a viable contender, but WWE will probably be pretty slow about what happens with Christian and he won't get a big push until Survivor Series. Nice idea though..

And with Triple H, it will be very interesting to see where he goes from here. I know a lot of you think he's going to be facing Cena, and I'm sure he will face Cena at some point, but maybe he will actually do something else for a couple months, like maybe my idea of him returning to his old school feud with Angle or something..WWE has some other options with him now other than just pushing the program with Cena right away.
