RAW Thoughts for June 27, 2005

Post your RAW thoughts here..with the pros and cons concept. Here's mine:

Pros:

-I loved the RVD pick. The guy is very underrated and really hasn't been used in WWE like he should have been. The guy could have been champion in 2001 but the company blew it. Now, I hope WWE does the right thing and lets him do his thing. I love Carlito on the mic, so this could be a "cool" feud between the two.

-The Big Show pick was kind of weak but this falls into the pros because now he's become a mid-carder rather than a main eventer and that role suits him much better.

-Angle-Flair. Yeah, Flair should have been DQ'd a few times and for some reason the ref let it go, but in the end we got to see the best damn wrestler in the business Kurt Angle, get a solid match out of a 55 year old man. God, I love Angle.

-Chris Masters was ok. I don't mind him on the mic, and even though Tajiri got the better of him, it was in a cheap way. I'm looking forward to when somebody breaks the Masterlock and Masters can have a feud.

-Jericho and CLB back together again. These guys are so funny together they make Tomko look funny and interesting. The lines about Nash and Janetty were gold.

Cons:

-I'm sorry, but I can't stand all these Hogan comebacks. The match was brutal and then I had to sit through the posing crap again. I wish Hogan would either stay gone for good or get a role similar to Flair, but no more comebacks.

-The diva shit. Man, these girls were awful while talking, and the last one with the beer was really annoying. I hate her already, so she'll prolly win..lol My favorie chick was the one who said she wasn't wearing any panties, so she didn't strip down. They'll be plenty of time for her to show off her goodies anyway. She's smokin' hot, so I'd pick her to win, but I don't really care that much because these segments are awful.

All in all, I give the show a 3 out of 5. It was pretty solid.

Raw thoughts for June 27th 2005.

Pros:

My favorite was the interaction between Jericho, Christian and Tomko.

Everyone was expecting the Rock, they got Hogan.

BigShow on Raw is a good choice.

RVD is also a good choice. (it should also be noted that this offically kills the ECW angle on Smackdown.)

Chris Masters continues to show he has mad skills on the mike (still not a mastermark though)

Cons:

Pretty lame overall show the night after the PPV

***EDIT**** I hadnt seen Blitz Raw Thoughts (since he didnt stick it, lol, so I merged them) Enjoy

Pros:

HBK/Hogan I don't know what it is about them being together but it just seems larger than life when they are in the ring and posing. They have great chemistry together and I wouldn't doubt if they have become close friends.

RVD to Raw: I have to say it is awesome seeing RVD cutting a promo in the style he did on the ECW PPV. I think Vince will now give him a huge push when he gets back and maybe he will even have different ring atire!!

I just can't seem to get enough of Angle. He seems so different now that he is on Raw. I was kind of surprised that the match was as good as it was. Flair will prolly have to take a month off to recover from that match.

Cons:

The Diva thing has taken to a whole new level and I am not even sure what to think of it. I just wish they would stop acting so stupid.

The draft pick being over is a big con, but it was fun while it lasted. Chris Masters better be challenged by The Big Show next week. I think the 2 of them can have a pretty entertaining feud and finally get Masters away from the Masterlock challenge thing.

Mixed bag:

I liked and disliked the Big Show pick. It is good to have him off SD! where he was going no where but I am not sure he will do anything different on Raw other than be used to push other wrestlers.

Maybe not...they still allow to trade before the trade deadline of June 30th up till 11:59pm

WWE could be stupid enough to pull something off like this..and trade RVD Raw to side track all the fans about the ECW angle and then have RVD appear SD again..with his ECW buddies and say he was traded back to SD and ECW will take over SD...

but overall speaking...

Raw is pretty entertaining from beginning till the end..cept the Diva Search...but even the Diva search have some funny moment when Coach tried to dance with the girls..and Big Visc give him the hand and tell him to backoff..haha

i like the segment when Jericho..Christian and Tomko trying to figure out who's the 3rd partner for Cena n HBK...at first I thought it would be the Rock too..until HBK say..he's one of the best partner he had..then i know is not the Rock..

I missed the Angle n Flair match...but on the spoiler..sounds like a good match...

Big Show on Raw is good....

WWE stated that they will not be doing an ECW. They do however realize however that it made a big impact at the PPV and have plans or have already hired some of the stars from the show.

I don't understand how you can say that about Hogan. Like him or not he brings great entergy to the crowd and he IS wrestling. I odn't get how you call it a comeback. I just think he is making apperances and brought in as a huge mark draw. There will come a day where Hogan will be just something you watch on dvd's and tell your kids about. I could never be tired of Hogan returning because I know the day will come when he won't be around and even SCSA has the return impact that Hogan does.

nah, I agree w/ Blitz on Hogan. Maybe it's b/c I always root for the heels, maybe it's b/c I'm just tired of watch Hogan do that damn legdrop after so many years. And I too hate the posing. In fact, Craig turned the channel as soon as the match ended b/c niether of us wanted to watch Hogan posing w/ HBK and Cena.
I thought the diva search was just great, er that is if by great I mean complete crap. Having them strip down the first night seemed kinda pathetic, like they were really reaching to get the fans into it- which didn't even really seem to work.

The Chrises were great as always. Christian may be the 2nd sexxiest wrestler alive today. And the Flair/Angle match was great. I always enjoy watching Kurt b/c when he loves what he's doing it makes the matches fantastic.
As for Masters, do something already. At the NWA central states show, we saw 2 guys get out of that hold. Really makes you wonder.
I thought Raw was good, but then I'd been hopping and excitedly waiting new wrestling all weekend after the NWA show. (damn what a great show those guys put on).
Big Show, maybe I'm the only one, but I think he was a stupid pick. sure he's wasted on SD, but he'll likely be wasted on Raw too. At least on SD he had that 6 man match title shot to look forward to. It seems unlikely that Show will get a title shot on Raw. Course, 2 years ago I would've said that JBL could never get a title shot so......
As for RVD, meh. He's still injured so I'll wait to make judgement on him.

I thought RAW was pretty entertaining last night, aside from the Divas.

Pro:
-RVD drafted to RAW. He's due for a big push and I think he'll get it once he comes back.

-Cena, Angle and Carlito seem to fit RAW perfectly. I like these guys a lot on this show.

-Hogan showing up is always cool, and I like him teaming with HBK. Also cool of Cena to show respect to the 2 legends like that at the end.

-Triple H wasn't on the show. It's good for him to take a show off here or there.

-CHRIS MASTERS! made an appearance.

-Angle and Flair had a good match.

Cons:
-Diva Search. The less said the better.

-Big Show draft pick. He won't do much on RAW, I'm afraid.

-Tajiri misting Masters. No way that should've happened.
