That post is totally positive. I'm just stating the facts. Bradshaw was a jobber, Orton's career is still in repair, and Batista hasn't done anything that really blows me away yet. All the choices for champ since Benoit and Gurrero have been just plain stupid. I suppose its the way the WWE idiots have booked them.

I seriously want to say Edge does NOT have the tools to be a great World Champion. He sure has them to be World Champion.. but then again, you don't necessarily need a lot..

I don't like Edge at all. I think he's the blandest wrestler I've ever seen. He has a crappy look, a crappy formulaic in-ring style, and he was only good on the mic with Christian. I just really, really, really, dislike him. And that's not including the whole Matt Hardy business..

Speaking of which, I hate to bring it into it.. But after Heyman shot on Edge, what did you guys think of his reaction? I thought he came across as a real jerk. He tried to laugh it off, did the whole 'beer-spewing' and 3 finger bit, and I just thought "What an absolute shitbag". He showed no sign of remorse whatsoever. I know he was in character.. but dude, you could have played a muted response. The stuff he did was an insult to Matt.

(And to be honest, the whole Matt/Edge/Lita triangle hadn't bothered me to date. This incident just made me realise what a dick he was)

What did you want the guy to do? It was a shoot and he was just insulted. Yet he is the jerk for taking it and laughing it off? I guess I just don't understand what fans what from people these days. I guess he should have grabbed the mic and said ya I cheated on my wife and naturally it is everyones business so line up and take your shots at me. Or maybe he should have jumped over the rail and ended it all. I can't even believe you are trying to tell someone how to react to a personal remark lol. It isn't the crappy writing or wresting or wotever that is going to turn me off of wrestling, it is the fans.

Edge is the perfect heel. We know he is a real life asshole, he has real heat he can use. He is teamed up with a hot slutty bitch. I think if they were ever gonna pull the trigger it would be at Summerslam this year. He has really found his groove lately. We know he is capable of having a 5 star match ... see Orton vs. Edge last year at Vengeance. I say give him a run this year, maybe for a month, a week , I don't care lets see what he can do.

Probably as WWE Champion he'd be OK, but his run would have to be a short one. I don't really see him long term, despite his wrestling ability and verbal skills, he really doesn't seem to have that "staying" power.

Kal-El - What I said has nothing to do with wrestling. I just felt what he did lacked a little class... How can you laugh off something like that? Screwing over one of your best friends wouldn't be something I'd laugh off, I know that. Even if I was insulted in public - I'd take it on the chin, not react. I found JBL's reaction quite funny, but I dunno.. Edge just showed no signs of even caring. Which is what makes me think he's an ass. Yeah he's in character. But still.. Just my $0.02

And as for "the fans" - I actually like a lot of what WWE is doing right now. I think a lot of people like a lot of stuff WWE is doing - they've admitted it here. Raw is great at the moment. I wouldn't regard Edge's push one of them, as I've disliked the guy since he split from Christian and became "Generic Dull Babyface 101", then turning into "Generic Dull Hell 101". And I sure as hell wouldn't wanna see the guy as World Champ. Regardless of his personal life.

All that aside, I still think Edge sucks. Before the Matt Hardy stuff, and before that.

I think the Edge reaction at One Night Stand was pre-planned...I read that he was informed of it beforehand, and i wouldnt be surprised if Vince and/or Heyman told him to actually ackowledge it

It doesnt make what he did to Matt right, but as long as he's going to rub it in Matt's face on Raw every week, I dont see a problem with him doing it at One Night Stand.

Basically, I think he's a jerk either way, but I dont think his reaction at ONS makes him any more of a jerk

I thought maybe he was going to get the belt after the goldrush match, he loses that, beats the shit outta Dave with a chair, the opens the briefcase, gets him match and pins him. But that still may be the plan in a different situation down the line, maybe after a Hell in a Cell? Doubt it, but it'd be a twist no one saw coming.....cept me, and now you.
