The ECW Fallout

What will happen because of the ECW PPV last night.

If you missed it, please read JV's review or catch the replay before replying to this particular thread.

Will Joey Styles get a WWE broadcasting position? Will Mick Foley?

Will any former ECW guys not currently employed by the WWE in the very near future?

Were the "We want Matt" chants AGAIN enough for Vince to call Mr. Hardy. (times running out Vince)

Should Fonzy become RVD's manager again?

Does Paul Heyman still have a WWE job this morning.

Will Tazz ever return to the ring?

Will the ECW PPV become a regular/annual fixture?

I think what I would do and what they will do are two different things. Like RVD said, the office is deaf to what the fans really want. I would like to hear your thoughts first before I answer.

Thanks

Simon

I've only read JV's review so i'm probably not in the best situation o talk about it. But, I imagine Heyman will be in hot water for his comments, but i think he'll still have a job. They would've had an idea that he would've held no punches with his mic time.

As I much as I'm hoping the Matt-Edge story can happen, i just don't see Matt agreeing. Then again, "Everybody's got a price"

I know I didn't hear Foley's commentary, but i can only assume that it was knowledgeable and also funny. If that's the case, there's no reason why he shouldn't be on the commentary team instead of someone like Lawler.

I can't wait for the DVD release, cause that's when I'm gonna have to wait to see this.

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

I think for sure Mike Awesome will be hired...the WWE guys up in the balcony were going nuts during that match, with JBL even bowing at him

I also think guys like Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, and RVD will be punished for their involvement in the show, and that will be an on-going storyline. I also think they will lead rebel factions on each show...

If I had to guess who will get hired from the show, I would say Awesome and Super Crazy. Rhino might get another shot as well

I haven't seen it either (trying to get JV's recap to load...friggin popups) but I do have a comment/question about Mike Awesome.

Wasn't Awesome a total buster when he got hired by WCW? I mean, really really bad. And really, really short?

Sounds like his match was really good though, but most guys can put together one great match if they have 5 years to do it.

It was Awesome's booking that buried him in WCW. He was always awesome when he was in ECW. He was one of my favorites and for being such a big guy, he was a great high flyer. I have no doubt he will be hired.

I really don't think anyone will get in trouble for anything they said in the PPV. Vince knew it was coming and he could have stopped it if he wanted by not giving them mic spots. RVD even said he was going to do that anyway, so that was at least no surprise.

Mick was great on the stick. No surprise there. I loved his sarcasim towards Joey when saying things like, "Would you like to thank anyone else Joey?".

The whole feel and look to the PPV was just amazing. The engery level was something I don't remember seeing since I was a kid watching WWF. It makes me wish Vince would just start up ECW and try to get it back on the air.

I would imagine any PPV after this will be a big let down. If they were smart they would put Paul incharge of booking for the PPV's because he did a great job that is for sure.

Awesome came over to WWE in the Takeover / Invasion angle, and he was absolutely, positively, miserable in the ring. It was almost unbearable. I think the only reason Justin Credible stayed with the WWE as long as he did was because they had budgeted one salary for either him or Awesome, and Awesome took a dump in the ring and got the broom for it.

I missed the PPV, but I might watch the re-run. Or, just watch RAW tonight and catch 99% of the highlights anyway.

If there is anyone who hasn't seen the PPV then I highley recomend you do so. It was probably the best PPV I have ever seen. I can't wait for the DVD

I'm sure Paul Heyman will be in trouble today, but everyone knew It was coming.
I'd like to see WWE hire Joey Styles, but i doubt it would happen. And Rhino and Matt Hardy should def be re signed.

Edge will rise again...
