Mike Awesome will be part of JBL's cabinet as soon as this Tuesday.
That is what everyone is saying and it will prolly happen at least I hope.

I will give my complete thoughts on the show tomorrow as well. I sooo called the SCSA que. My quote after the PPV was "That was better than watching WrestleMania!".

I actually thought Mike Awsome was fighting really stiff during the ppv. He looked like he was going to really hurt Tanaka out there. But fuck that he was incredible. That match I think was the best of the night. Fucking awsome

RVD Shoot was pretty sweet, Heyman shoot was the balls.

"The only reason JBL was champ for a year was cause Triple H didnt feel like working Tuesdays" CLASSIC

Dudleys match was brutal as fuck. Tons of crazy shit in that match.

The person I was most impressed with would definitly be Super Crazy. Jesus that guy is beyond incredible.

The Stone Cold segment at the end was also great. Also, liked the tribute to the wrestlers who died.

quick thoughts

- the 3 way dance match was cut a little short, a little anti-climatic for me, super crazy is great thought

- masato and awesome, had the match of the night for me, BUT WHY DID THEY SHOW JBL EVERY 10 SECONDS?

- Lance and Y2J - Great Opener

- Heymans shoot = CLASSIC, easily my fave promo ever now lol.
" Hide your wives everybody, ITS EDGE"

- guerrero and benoits match was the strongest on paper, I wonder what happened here ?! the match didnt seem to stand out at all, i mean they had better matches on smackdown dammnit!

- Main event was chaotic, loved it, reminded me why I used to like the Dudleys

Thoroughly Enjoyed the PPV, glad this happened.
Hopefully the DVD has some good stuff with it so its worth buying.

They where booing the 619 because it wasnt a ECW move. Everyone else came out with their old stuff, Jericho was wearing his Lion Heart pants
I loved this PPV, it really did remind me why I loved ECW so much.
I was sad that Taz didnt have a bigger hole, his appearence was good but he didnt really do much aside from choke kurt out.

I think if the buy rates do well we can probably expect too see ECW again, you know what vince is like.

Rhyno's #1 mark just layed the smackdown!

Well myself and HellKat said it after the PPV and then we listed to the LAW and they said the same thing.

OK, here are my thoughts/notes from the show...

I arrived an hour and a half early, thinking that gave me plenty of time, and there wouldnt be much of a line. Boy was I wrong. The Hammerstein Ballroom is on 34th St and 8th Ave...the line went all the way down the block to 9th Ave., then around all the way to 35th st. Basically, the line took up half of an entire NYC block.

They actually got everybody in fairly quickly, which I have to give them props for. Oh, and did I mention I was on Heat when I was walking into the building???

As soon as you walked in, Coach and Cole were right there doing the pre-show commentary. Crowd was chanting "Shut the fuck up" clap clap clapclapclap.

I had probably the worst seat in the house, and I was still only like 50 feet from the ring. The floor seats only went 9 rows deep, and then they had a section of seats behind the floor seats under the balcony. I was in the 5th row of this section. So basically, I was floor level, 14 rows back. You couldnt see the video screen from my seats (because of the balcony above us), but in the middle of the show, security stopped giving a shit and let everybody in my section walk up and stand right behind the floor seats. That was very nice of the arena security, who could have been anal about it, but decided to play it cool

Also, they served mixed drinks at the concession stands, and had waitresses coming around taking orders for drinks. First time I ever saw that at a wrestling show.

Before the show started, there were lots of random wrestler chants. Whe the Candido one started, some meathead next to me was yelling out "SUCKS!!!" After every one. Fucking disrespectful asshole. He justified it by saying he was an indy wrestler and Candido was a dick to him on a show they did together. Still doesnt make it right in my book

I dont remember what part of the show this was, but there was a huge "Fuck John Cena" chant one point. Also, Chuck Zito, the former Hell's Angel who was on HBO's Oz was there.

Crowd was hot all night. Storm/Jericho was a solid opener. A buch of "welcome back" chants for Lance, and some disparaging stuff about Dawn Marie. Good response to the Justin Credible run-in

3-way cruiserweight match was awesome. Super Crazy was the star of that match. Favorite spot was when he went up to do the 10 punches and the crowd chanted in spanish, haha. The moonsault off the balcony rocked too

Rey-Psichosis was decent. Could've been better, but oh well. Pretty funny how the crowd booed the 619

When the Smackdown guys came out, they literally walked right past me. When they got up to the balcony, the prevailing chants were "Get the fuck out" and "You're not wanted". Big "you suck dick" chant to Angle. There was also a "Buckwheat" chant directed toward OJ

RVD shoot interview was awesome. you could tell how passionate he was about ECW. And everything he said was right on the money. After Rhino hit the gore, everyone knew Sabu was gonna make the save, and sure enough we were right. This was a solid impomptu match that we enjoyed thoroughly.

When the Raw guys came, I was even closer than I was to the Smackdown guys. The Edge chants began immediately. They included "You fucked crack-whore" "We fucked Lita" "Lita has herpes" followed shortly thereafter with "Edge has herpes". And of course "You screwed Matt". Maven also got a lot of shit, especially for his half-shirt. He played up to the crowd a lot.

Benoit-Guerrero was the only disappointing part of the night for me. The ending was a little anti-climactic, and the match itself wasnt great. I dont know if something was wrong with Eddie, but he seemed to be the only guy not to enjoying himself. I dont remember seeing him in the big ECW thing in the ring at the end, and I also saw him going to the parking garage after the show and he didnt acknowledge the fans at all. Just kept his head down and walked into the garage. After the match, Benoit and Guerrero just stood there staring at each other for a while, then they left with nothing more happening

Crowd went nuts when Paul E. came out. i thought it was awesome seeing him get emotional in response to the "Thank you Paul" chants. And seeing him call out Bischoff, Edge, and HHH was awesome. "Hide your wives, it's Edge!!!!". "The only reason you were WWE Champion for a year, is because HHH didnt wanna work Tuesdays" Brilliant

Awesome-Tanaka was the match of the night. I'm sure they showed it on the telecast, but the WWE guys were going nuts during this match. JBL was bowing toward the ring and stuff like that. Just an incredible match. During the match, a lot of people in the crowd were yelling at Tanaka "C'mon Matsui!!!" (because of Hideki Matsui who plays for the Yankees). Funny stuff.

The Dudleyz and Tommy Dreamer both got good ovations, but the place erupted when Enter Sandman hit. His entrance alone was worth the price of admission, with everyone i the crowd singing along. Just awesome. Nice to see the bWo too. Good reaction for Balls Mahoney as well. Once the match got underway, it was brutal and a lot of fun to watch. It was also cool when Francine and Beulah got involved. Beulah was way over. Big "She's hardcore" chant for her. Big reaction for Spike, and the flaming table powerbomb was awesome.

I find it ironic how Austin was only in ECW for like 3 weeks, but the crowd still had no objection to him being there. He was a good instigator for everything that happened. and the big brawl was well-recieved. HUGE pop for Tazz, especially when he locked in the Tazzmission.

I read in JV review that what Bischoff said on the mat was censored out. It was "Fuck ECW"

After the cameras stopped rolling, the ECW guys just stayed in the ring drinking beers for a while and playing up to the fans. They were throwing the beer cans out to the fans for souveniers. Someone who threw a half-cup of beer at Stevie Richards, who caught it and drank it haha.

slowly they started leaving, but the Dudleyz and the bWo hung out for quite a long time. Blue Meanie threw his shirt out to the crowd, and then Nova ripped off his shirt a la Hulk Hogan and threw it out to the crowd. Finally, when all was said and done, Tommy Dreamer was the last one left. He was laying in the corner covered in blood, and the crowd went CRAZY for him. HUGE "Thank you Tommy" chant. He broke down and started crying. The Dudleyz came back and helped him to his feet. Then Beulah came down and her and Tommy hugged to a huge ovation from the audience. Dreamer then got down and kissed the ECW logo. Then they all walked to the back, and the ring announcer thanks us for coming.

After the show, I went around back to see if I could see anyone. It was so annoying because these two "smart fans" showe dup right after me bitching about the show. They kept talking about how great Friday's show by Shane Douglas was, and saying stuff like "Worst ECW PPV ever, this was just like a Smackdown PPV, way to go Vince". And even when the wrestlers came out they kept saying it to them. I could see that the wrestlers who came out were not thrilled with it, since they obviously had such a great time performing last night. Also, when security told them they had to leave a path open for the production guys to get through, the one kid was like "They've got plenty of room, I dont have to move" Its a good thing I wasnt working security. That kid wouldve been getting rape din the shower by JBL before he knew what hit him

Bill Alfonso came out first and shook hands and signed autographs. Then Mick Foley came out!!! He signed a bunch of autographs, and even took people's cell phones and spoke to people's friends/family members on the phone. He was an awesome guy. One of the two jerks I mentioned before yelled to Foley "When have you gotten a pop like you did on Friday?" and I turned the guy with a seriously pissed off face and said "Tonight!" and the guy just looked away. Buh Buh then came out and signed a few autographs. Then RVD came out and didnt sign any autographs but posed with Fonzie. We also saw Dawn Marie come out of the building looking very pregnant, and Johnny Swinger was hanging outside for a little while.

Then they told us that they had to move the heavy equipment, and we had to go across the street. So I stood facing the parking garage where all the performers parked. We saw Sandman dressed in shorts, a t-shirt, and flip-flops (I guess no dress code for the ECW guys haha). I also saw Jericho, Angle, Maven, Carlito, Benoit, Eddie, and Matt Morgan before I left.

I spent 165 on my ticket and I went by myself, but I still had an incredible time. It was well worth the money, and I'm so glad I went. What a great show, and a great atmosphere/crowd. Personally, I feel they did the company justice, even with the emphasis on the WWE "Invaders"
