Should Kurt Angle retire?

Ok heres the deal Kurt I believe as about 30% feeling in his left arm and about 50% in his right arm all this is down to his sdrewed up neck he's had surgery on it 3 or 4 times now and its just getting worse yet he continues to do moonsaults etc...

Should Kurt retire before he ends up in a wheelchair?

Yes. He has already said he'll never be WWE champion again, because of his health. So since there's no chance for advancement, and since he's already done it all, I think he should retire.

Nobody wants to end up like Terry Funk or Hulk Hogan. They just don't know when to quit.

I voted no, he can still have PPV matches 3/4 times a year with careful planning. I think the thing with Kurt is simple, he feels responsibility to try to carry Smackdown. Everytime he builds guys up they leave (either draft to raw (see benoit and edge) or just leave (lets be honest Angle went a long way to making Lesnar the draw he was). I think just use him sparingly thoughout the year and stick to that plan, instead of having to fall back on him because he`s the best guy on SD.

I had a sig, once.

Even with only 3 or 4 matches a year he still screwup his neck some more and end up in a wheelchair

In all fairness to not knowing when to quit, why should you have to if you can still perform and entertain? I never understood why someone has to stop doing something if they can still do it. Hogan does matches now that suit him, like tag matches. There is no denying he draws a crowd and ratings so why exactly does he have to stop? If you make a lot of money doing something and are still allowed to do it, whouldn't you be annoyed at someone telling you that you should stop just because you have been doing it for a long time?

I don't know about you but I recall a lot of people marking for Hogan at the PPV's, on the forum and certianly at the arenas. I think Angle could go on to do the same thing for a long time if he takes time off to get his neck fixed again.

I agree. As long as they don't have a million "last" or "retirement" matches (i.e. Funk)

Ida, the difference is that Hogan is just old and slow, Angle may end up paralyzed sooner than later.

That is the question. Not can he entertain.

Douchebag. (thats you're new nickname till you remove your sig =) )

The problem is he's tried that before and it hasnt worked he should have gone for the major surgery after Wrestlemania XIX(ala Edge, Benoit etc..) instead of the quick soloution Ive got a feeling its beyond repair now

Angle needs surgery. There is a chance he could have many years left in him if he takes time off to get it fixed and heals up. Look at the guys who have broken their neck and are in the ring doing the same things they always have. The last thing he had done to his neck was not fusion, it was a simple removal via scope. Unfortuantely, it wasn't as long term as he had hoped and now needs to get them fused. I think once he does that he can go again for a long time.

You are the one who told me to remove my sig nagging over and over, so that is what you get for doing so! It stays there til I get some spare time and find a new one...douchebag.

Edge has never been the same since his surgery. He's no longer the high flyer type.

Besides, you can only patch up an old truck for so long before it dies completely and isn't worth fixing.

Hogan can't even do a leg drop anymore.

None of this has much to do with anything. Just random thoughts that kind of fall in this thread.
