On a scale of 1-10, how do you feel Batista has performed as "representative" of the WWE? Including all aspects...promos, demeanor, ring-work, presence, and whatever other elements you feel a champion should possess.

Man, it's so early in his reign (or late depending on what goes down soon!).

Promos - 3/10. I like the guy's cool persona, but I don't like him saying an awful lot and especially I don't like him doing comedy.

Demeanour & Presence - 8/10. He's got an outstanding look, looks totally like a World Champ should and in this department has it going on!!

Ring Work - 6/10. At 39 (allegedly) he's probably not going to get a whole lot better here, his selling isn't great, but I prefer him not to be selling much anyhow. His Goldberg-like power moves are impressive though, just don't put him in such long matches.

To sum up, he's a good character that I enjoy watching but I think I'll know more of how I feel about him during his next feud rather than this one. I know Hunter can work and carry the mic end of a feud, I'd like to see how Big Dave gets on feuding with someone a little less rounded, maybe like Edge.

Champions need to be better on the stick than in the ring - see JBL. In that sense, Batista has done pretty shabbily, and last night's "emotional showdown" with HHH in the ring featured linguistic barbs that included:

"You're going to have to kill me to take this title back!"

to wit: "Well you're going to have to KILL ME to stop me"

It just doesn't make for good television.

I gave him a 5, middle of the road

Perhaps if he could step out of you know who's shadow, we could get a better feel for his title reign

Apparently so, although officially he's 36.

No way he is 39. I will have to put my research team (me) on the case.

Then he's a freak. Youngest looking 39 year old ever. And what the hell did he do before wrestling?

I'm telling you - Bill Simmons was on to something when he suggested that Batista was a former adult film star.
