Nice to see Cena getting a big pop, made the show seem special at the beginning even though that turned out not to be the case.

Cons
I thought Christian would be a good feud with Cena, but this first confrontation left me a little cold. Christian came off looking like what he is, a mid carder that's been jobbing to Flair recently, and in no way did he look even a remote threat to Cena. They can't really feud if one guy looks so many different levels (as Cena put it!!) above the other.
I don't know how I would have booked it, but the ECW thing running through the whole show was just so obvious that it just didn't work for me, even Heyman didn't seem up to his usual quality on the mic and Bischoff was just acting like a bad guy from a Christmas panto all through the show.
Kane and Edge. The whole angle just bores me to tears, Edge and Kane never seem to have much chemistry with each other either in the ring or out.
HHH/Batista. The feud that'll never die. Horrible lines given to both men from the writers. The only reason I'm looking forward to this HITC is that it hopefully is the end to this feud. |
