The Draft
For some reason I believe it will quite the predictable scenario that I have thought of.

I suspect, or at least it should be, the first two picks in the draft to be Batista and Cena respectively.

How do you not grab the current champion as your first pick? That is something that just seems so obvious to me that it will kinda tomorrows show.

Anyone else have a different scenario that they have brewing in their noggin?

It just seems like there is so much hype surrounding the draft again....but like the last one I don't expect anything that exciting to come from it.

Not to mention isn't it taking place over the next few weeks? Only 1 draft pick per show? Like really do they need to drag this out over a month?

Ok, I missed that one altogether.

Here is how the draft will work from WWE.com.


So it will be Cena first then, and Batista 2nd. The respective GM's taking anyone but the current champ would just be plain STUPID.


For this historic 2005 Draft, RAW and SMACKDOWN! will each get five draft picks.

The picks will all be drawn at random. RAW will draw from the SMACKDOWN! roster. SMACKDOWN! will draw from the RAW roster.

All RAW & SMACKDOWN! Superstars can be drafted. Champions, Divas, announcers, general managers. Everyone is eligible to be drafted!

The Draft will take place from June 6th until June 30th.


One pick a week per show, until the final week when each show will get two picks.

The first RAW pick will be revealed on June 6th.
The first SMACKDOWN! pick will be revealed on June 9th.

The second RAW pick will be revealed on June 13th.
The second SMACKDOWN! pick will be revealed on June 16th.

The third RAW pick will be revealed on June 20th.
The third SMACKDOWN! pick will be revealed on June 23rd.

The fourth and fifth RAW pick will be revealed on June 27th.
The fourth and fifth SMACKDOWN! pick will be revealed on June 30th.

General Managers are allowed to trade until Midnight on June 30th.

I think it would make more sense to leave the champs til the end. It is the only thing that makes sense. Specially seeing how there is going to be HHH/Batista 3.

I don't understand yoru statement. It is not like they have choice who they get.

Nevermind, I see where it says "pick" I wonder if that just means their turn. I would assume it is a draw like they did last year?

I am throughly confused.

Why the hell wouldnt the general managers get to pick the wrestlers.

Its a draft, not picking shit out of a hat, no?

I could be completely wrong here, I guess I will have to wait and see.
