...when the crowd cheers for heels and boos the faces? I'm a bit undecided here. I personally love guys like Angle, Carlito, Christian, *cough*Snitsky*cough*, Triple H (most of the time) and Eddie so i cheer them. But i can't stand Hulk Hogan, Hardcore Holly, Mark Jindrak, Viscera, Lita (before she went heel I'm talking ehre) and some others, so i boo them relentlessly live. So i don't mind it because each character appeals to different people.

However, having said that, I don't like it when a crowd chooses to just do the opposite throughout an entire event (aka Summerslam 2004). That's just annoying.

I guess the point I'm trying to make here is that I don't mind how the fans choose to react to a character if they truely feel that way towards them and they're not just trying to be a cool "smark."

I know what you mean, isn't it usually a Canadian/MSG thing where whenever there is a show there the crowds just cheer who they want and boo who they want. Gotta admit I like it when this happens, it also shows who can really work a crowd and who can't. Look at how well The Rock started subtly playing the heel when Hogan was being cheered against him. Does get annoying if they do it for the whole show. Guess the point is WWE should know their audience. JV alluded to this when Lita came out to cut a face promo against Trish at MSG recently which is obviously a knowledgeable crowd. They booed her ass out of there.

I love it when this happens. I was at a house show here in Vancouver last night and when Christian came out the place went totally nuts! He was faceing Shelton and he got booed harsh. Christian even got on the mic and said something like "I hate Vancouver!" and still every last one of us there was still chanting "Lets go Christian" Then later it was HHH & Ric Flair vs Batista and first Flair came out and he got cheered huge! then HHH comes out and also gets cheered huge... and then Batista comes out and he ALSO got cheered huge. But if they do it the entire show it'd probably get annoying but i just like when people cheer whoever they want.

My favourite ppv match of this kind was Hart Foundation in '97 at Calgary Stampede. Heels throughout U.S, massive faces in Calgary. Great contrast and a great match as well.

What annoys me is that Canadians always get blamed for doing it the most. They do it a lot in the UK as well.

I don't mind it because SCSA wouldn't have become who he is today if it wasn't for fans cheering for heels, or the reverse with The Rock when he was booed as a face.

sometimes it annoys me. if i knew that the crowd was just doing it to be "smarks" like you said then i would probably be irritated. but its the worker's job in the ring to adapt to something like that, like when the rock was booed he started playing the heel even though it wasn't planned.

and if it becomes a big problem then its also the writers job to make the right heels and the right faces so it doesn't happen as often. like when they tried turning austin heel by allying him with vince mcmahon, that was a bad move because nobody wanted to boo him. theyre doing the same thing with eddie guerrero right now.:frown2:

I think there are a few "cool heels" that I dont mind the crowd cheering...currently Christian and Carlito...Orton and Cena were in that phase like 2 years ago

but like Spanky said, when its just people trying to be "smarks", then it gets a little irritating
