I woudlnt mind seeing him keep the belt and maybe even beating HTMs record. I do miss the days when the belt didnt change every month, and really like that Shelton and Orton kept the belt as long as they did. Its too bad nobody in the top 10 are still around, it be kinda cool for Shelton to get within one day of HTMs record and then havin him come out and screw Shelton and cost him the match. I think really they just need a good solid storyline for him that'll somehow really put him over plus have it be with someone who could really put on a good match with him like his match with HBK.

Gamecube - comparing 8 years to 15 months is kinda stupid.. the business today would just not be able to handle an 8 year World Champ, but it can easily handle a 15 month IC Champ.

I just thought of an idea for Shelton and his IC reign, I dunno it's late, so it may be stupid. But i was thinking of maybe having Charlie Haas get drafted to RAW. The for the next seven months, they don't compete in tag team matches all the time, but they remain close friends and have each other's back. Towards the 13-14th month of Shelton's IC reign they start playing up the fact that he's gonna beat Honky's record and then a week before he's set to pass HTM's record, Charlie snaps and ebats the hell out of Shelton. He requests a title match for right then and there and a heel Bischoff comes out and gives him the match which he subsequently wins. I think this would do wonders for both Charlie and Shelton and could set up a great fued with awesome matches.

i think that sounds great, although i also think they have a pretty good thing going with the jericho storyline. im assuming that hes eventually going to turn on shelton, unless one of them gets drafted. but i like your idea too, i think it woud be great for both shelton and haas.

it's still real to me, dammit!

If the WWE keeps the strap on Shelton and Haas comes over to RAW (which by the way, I think he will - Haas) then your scenario thirty7 could make for interesting television. Although I would change the finish. Instead of Haas demanding a match after turning on Shelton, I would simply have him cost Shelton the match to someone else that has some current history with another performer. That way RAW would be able to create two storylines that the fans may care about. One about Haas and Benjamin and the other about the IC champ and the other guy.

That being said. I don't think shelton will hold the belt for another 200+ days. I forsee a title change in the near future. Y2J is not going to loose twice to Shelton on PPVs.
