I think its more about the fact that he wins alot of the important matches in exchange for losing the not so important ones. Like he'll build them up and than knock them down, making himself look good. So basically hes playing by the rules and making himself look unbeatable at the same time, its smart IMO. But I still dont care for him anymore.

It's not so much that he never loses, its the fact that he's ALWAYS the focus of the show. Since the World Title was introduced in 2002, I can only think of a handful of PPV main events that did not include HHH.

Orton-Benoit and Benoit-Kane are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. And even for one of those PPVs, he was in a Hell In a Cell match that dominated the storylines going into it

Having said that, even with Benoit-Kane, the main event of the show was Michaels-HHH Hell In A Cell. I just want something fresh in the title scene. More so the story than HHH. The story is usually the same. Someone takes the belt. HHH becomes nothing without the belt. Becomes crazed. Takes belt back. I wouldn't mind it as much as if there were different stories to it. Like Rock and Austin could do. One story was about selling out to the corporation (rock/austin mania 15), proving who the better man is (mania 17), proving the rock could beat austin on the main stage (mania 19). The same guys, but different intriguing stories that made it all fresh and interesting. *Granted there is years gaps in between, but the point I'm trying to make is in regards to fresh title stories*

He is trying to play the game in the same way as his hero Naitch did. Ric would always do enough to make the other guy look credible in the build up to the PPV but then (nearly) always win the big one.

My problem is never with Hunter, it's with Vince and the writers inability to keep somebody at his level. The bottom line is, of course he is going to pitch for keeping himself at the top, all wrestlers do. Austin bitched about Hogan for yearrs, then as soon as he was on top he wouldn't do jobs for anyone. It's Vince's problem, it's his show and since he is the one who claims to be a genius when things go right it's up to him to rectify it when things are wrong.

I'm just curious, Steph is the head of the creative/writing team, yes? But everything she decides upon (through her team) has to go through Vince first?
