I know a lot of people were down on Edge when he returned from his neck injury. First they tried to have him going after Evolution "one by one" then the whole Randy Orton swerve happened and they dumped the Edge angle. Then they have him not get enough votes or something for Taboo Tuesday. Then they have him slowly turning heel by messing with Michaels. He continues to mess with Michaels, yet Michaels in is a fued with HHH I believe. Basically this dude has NO direction whatsoever. Then Bam!! Wrestlemania 21.

I will be the first to say, I LOVE Edge lately. With the money in the bank angle now combined with the whole Lita thing. It just makes for a very interesting character. I would even welcome him trying to obtain another title shot against Batista and holding onto the briefcase a little longer. I just think its a cool gimmick.

Quite possibly the worst thing for him is to be traded to Smackdown right now. Believe it or not, but I actually but him as a legit title contender as of right now.

Think about it.

He held his own against Batista, and he hasn't been booked like Christian for awhile (no chance against bigger guys). I don't see why he couldn't challenge for/hold the World title. His match last night was really good, and if I wasn't already convinced that HHH was going to worm his way into that match somehow I would have wondered if they were going to give Edge the belt last night.

I dunno. Despite all the backstage drama, he still doesn't appeal to me. It's getting a little better now that he has lost his psycho "it should've been me" gimmick, but I'm gonna wait a few weeks before I start praising his character.

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

I don't really mind Edge. Don't love him, don't hate him.


However, I don't think he's been the STAR or anything. Shelton Benjamin has been a bigger star than Edge since Mania. Shelton could quite possibly be the M.V.P. of RAW so far this year. Or maybe Christian.

On a side note, even though Big Dave looked pretty solid this past week, his weeknesses are really starting to shine through. I really don't think this guy is ready for a 30 min. Main Event match and all you people want to talk about is "why is Triple H getting the shot?" What the hell do you mean why? Who else is gonna carry Dave through 30 min. out there?

And finally, I'm happy in the direction SD! has been heading the past couple weeks. Yeah, the writing has been poor, and the Eddie heel turn is suspect, but from an in-ring standpoint things are starting to get better. Cena and JBL had a much, much, better match at Judgment Day than WM21, Rey and Eddie continue to impress, Angle is still god, Booker has looked decent, and even MNM and Holly & Haas put on a solid show for the tag titles. Ask anyone who saw it, Judgment Day was a success. Now, lets just hope they keep it goin'.
