Pros:Batista vs Edge, very good main event. Edge finally looked like he did belong in the main event.

Viscera, even though the segment was long, it was still entertaining.

Cons: HHH, HHH, HHH. Were back to square one all over again, the guy said you would have to beg him to come back, all of one week the guy is not there. He really showed how much "power/stroke" he has by making the main event at the next ppv. How is WWE ever going to make another Main Event heel if he "hhh" wont give up his spot.
Christian & Edge should be in that position right now.
It's amazing how he cant stand to be away for long periods of time. WWE has dropped the ball again. They had a golden opportunity to make both Edge and Christian look big, but were right back to the HHH show again.

Pros: Everything that happened from 9 p.m. to 11:05 p.m.

Cons: 11:05 p.m. to 11:08 p.m.

But seriously, I thought this was a thoroughly enjoyable Raw telecast.

I thought the Vince-Bisch-Heyman segment was captivating. It got me really excited for the ECW show, and if there really is a Raw "invasion" at the PPV, it better not be for more than one match. By the way, the PPV is in three weeks, it would be nice if they started announcing who will be there...

Viscera was hysterical as usual. And I think that Maria is actually playing up her stupidity

I'm very intrigued by the Jericho-Benjamin storyline. It's reminiscent of when the fans turned on the Rock like two years ago, or Lesnar at WMXX. Jericho no longer thinks wrestling is that important, and the wrestling-loving crowds are giving him shit for it

Benjamin vs. Al Qaeda was pretty solid. Good underdog story, and it makes sense that Benjamin would lose under those circumstances.

I missed the Chris Masters match because I flipped over to the basketball game

Batista vs. Edge was decent, considering the two guys arent the best workers in the company. Edge is pretty good, but not on the caliber of Benoit, Angle, Guerrero, or HHH.

Tajiri vs. Benoit was enjoyable too

I only got to see the last half from when Heyman first came out cause of my son's little league game (/proud dad: they won 23-5...WOOHOO!) so I can only comment on what I got to see.

Kane really needs a makeover. He's about as interesting as Snitsky right now imo, and that's a shame. I say they should have him do some weird self-immolation thing one week and then a month or two (or six) later bring back the Big Red Machine, mask and all.

Vis rocks. His segment was shorter than normal this week, and I think that helps. The joke kinda wears thin after 5 minutes.

Edge looked pretty good last night, as did Batista. However, and I called this in the live RAW thread, the match was never going to be about anything other than HHH. I really like Trips and think he's busted his rear to get where he is, but even I'm sick of this anymore. The guy needs to step back from the title picture. The writers need to find something for him to do that keeps him away from the title picture for at least a year imo.

i was dissappointed that Big Vis didn't come out to that old barry white sounding music from last week when he sang. but i did like his segment this week. those chops must have hurt!!!

i loved the main event. i like batista more and more every time i see him work. i think hes definitely come a LONG way, i remember back in the early days of evolution when he was just a big beefcake with not much coordination and even less charisma. but hes definitely awesome now.

as far as HHH goes, i love the guy but this is getting old. i don't think people will be very excited to see hell in a cell, considering we've already seen them in 2 main events for that title. he does need to move out of the way.

it's still real to me, dammit!

I found Raw to be a good show over all but from the ending I think they are headed in the wrong direction with the next PPV.

Say what you will about HHH we've seen Trips vs Batista twice now and I could care less about Hell in a Cell between these two.

Here's hoping it's the last of this feud but somehow I doubt it.

What was the point of the security guards coming out before Edge & lita at the start of RAW? They never acknowledged their presence.

I thought Raw was one of the best episodes I have seen in a long time. It seems to have that pizzaz back again.

No HHH and no HBK was a nice touch for a week and 7/8th's. The ending would have been so much better had Flair not been kneeling down. It was sooooo obvious that he was going to low blow him. Besides that the angle was done well.

The progession of Edge I discussed in another thread, but to recap I basically think he is the star of Raw now.

Lita looks quite uncomfortable all kissy feely with Edge though. I really hope Matt Hardy gets his job back.

Kane shouldnt have cried. Bring back the mask.

The ECW segment was way cool junior.


Overall

5 out of 5 bodyslams.

Awesome show. (Even Chris Masters was impressive)
