Sports have expansion teams and such every so often thus making more room for more athletes. WWE is pretty much one team and only has so many people spots available for wrestlers. It's a little different than baseball, football or any other organized sport. I think that analogy is flawed.

I dont think it's flawed whatsoever. I think expansion has nothing to do with anything. Maybe I'm missing the point, but I really dont see the tie between expansion and the existence of a union. There are unions in other professions, where there isnt an ever-growing employee base.

The point I was trying to make is this. The Major League Baseball Players Union was formed in 1966. At the time, there were superstar players such as Willie Mays, Sandy Koufax, Frank Robinson, etc. who obviously made much more money and were treated better than their comrades. Now why would they agree to a form a union and risk pissing off ownership, especially since there would be PLENTY of people out there who would be willing to take their place? It's the exact same scenario as HHH, HBK, etc, except that the wrestlers union hasnt actually been formed yet.

Also, the Union wasnt formed with the expectation of expansion. Expansion really doesnt tie into the formation of the players unions whatsoever
