We all know Smackdown is the inferior show. Well, what can we do to change that? Assume you cannot bring anyone over from Raw, and anyone under contract with TNA cannot be brought over. Everyone else is fair game.

Take Smackdown Live either on a Tuesday or Thursday and put Paul Heyman in charge of the writing... oh and get some writers who actually know something about wrestling!

U.S. championship: Orlando Jordan (c) vs. Charlie Haas

WWE Tag Team Championship: MNM (with Melina, of course...yummy) (c) vs. the Dudley Boyz

WWE Cruiserweight championship: Paul London (c) vs. Chavo Guerrero

JBL vs. Rey Mysterio

Eddie Guerrero (heel) vs. Undertaker

Booker T vs. Carlito

Big Show gauntlet match

I think thats a pretty decent card...You have Cena, who is still trying to earn credibility as a champ, versus a bonafied main eventer and an excellent worker in Kurt Angle.

You have JBL facing the only top face he hasnt beat (Rey), and someone who can pull an exciting match out of him.

Paul London vs. Chavo is sure to be entertaining. Chavo can carry the mic work part of the feud, and London will bring it in the ring

Taker vs. Eddie is sure to be great

The Dudleyz make their triumphant return against the new kids on the block.

I threw OJ on the card just because the U.S. Title should be defended, and I couldnt think of anyone else to face him besides Haas, who's a pretty good worker, and if they pull a good match out of each other it could really help both of them

Carlito vs. Booker would be pretty good. Two solid workers, both with pretty cool characters

Big Show kinda just needs to be in a match, but he should be like Andre the Giant was where it's only special event kinda stuff (like the sumo match at Wrestlemania). i was thinking he could just stand in the ring and take on challenger after challenger. You could throw out guys like Heidenreich, Kidman, Spike, the Bashams, etc. Assuming Big Show took out most of them this would solidify Show for a possible push in the future, get some of the lower-card guys on the show, and whoever finally beats him, would look like the guy who "slew the Giant" (pun intended). At which point said wrestler can brag about how he beat the Big Show, but Show will counter that it was only after 5 other guys has softened him up, etc. Bam...Insta-feud

Now if the writers could just make it happen, things would be different. Smackdown has the talent, they just need the writing to come around

Well..I think we all agree that the writers are pretty lost when it comes to this show. I know Paul Heyman is a really good writer but sometimes he's hard to deal with. I'd probably try him out anyway.

Here is what else they could do...



1. Take the U.S. Title off of Orlando and put it on a fighting champion like a Rey Mysterio or Rob Van Dam when he comes back..All of a sudden there would be quality matches coming out of that title.

2. Give JBL someone to feud with. I'd go with The Undertaker again maybe...(if you can't bring in anyone). I'm not saying that these matches would be good but they could make the story intertesting. Undertaker is an unstoppable force that JBL has to destroy and he will use his money and power to try and do so. JBL can hire a bunch of lesser guys on the roster to give them something to do and the main thing is that this feud won't be about the title but still given quite a bit of airtime.

3. Cena needs a character to play off of. Him and JBL don't work together well if you ask me..so I'd either stick him with Angle because the matches could be really good or stick him with Carlito because a Cena-Carlito promo could be very entertining with both guys acting like they do.


I still don't know what to do with the tag division though...I don't think you can really have a good tag division with split rosters. I like MNM a lot and when the Dudleys come back they'll be ok I guess...but the rest blah.

Also, when the new cruisers come in they should focus a lot of time of three way and four way matches with them like WCW did...Give the cruisers like at least 20-35 minutes of the show time each week.

well mister d,i like most of those matches, though i'm not crazy about dudleys v. mnm, at least not yet. they haven't been champs long enough. it would look bad for either team to lose. new champs v. triumphant return. maybe there is a way to do it with both looking good, but i don't know.
otherwise, we all know who i'd get rid of to make sd better. that's right, the divas, ha tricked you.

Yeah..if they had that match on a PPV..there should probably be a way so both teams come out looking good..You don't want MNM losing the titles and you don't want the dudleys losing their first match back..There would have to be some kind of twist thrown in....I just can't put my finger on what the twist should be..


Overall...I think the card Mister D made was pretty decent and I really lie the Big Show idea.

Remember the "super heavyweight" gimmick Hardcore Holly used way back when? It could be like that, just in reverse. Have Vis show up with a rigged scale that puts him within the weight restrictions for the class and go from there. Yeah the title takes a credibility hit for awhile, but its not like its a major belt anyway. It might even get people to care about it again once Vis finally drops the belt.
