Rep Power: 106 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() gXboxLive Leaderboard: 52nd | How to not properly push 101 Alot of people have been lobbying for Christian to be traded to Smackdown. The thought is that he could be a top heel contender to challenge Cena for the WWE title. Lets assume that the draft is May 23rd give or take a week. This gives Christian just a couple of weeks before the potential move to Smackdown. Meanwhile, the tournament for the number 1 contender shot is going on and he was bounced in the first round. While his move to Smackdown and challenge to Cena would be considered a godsend by some internet marks and hardcore fans, I believe that it could do unrepairable harm to the Smackdown brand. Here is what Christian has done in the past year or so...... Got Tyson Tomko on his side in April 04. Yup, its been over a year. Crazy huh? Christian goes out with an injury. Returns from injury in October and proceeds to lose 4 straight weeks before beating The Hurricane in week 5 of his big return. Loses 3 more weeks in a row again before winning the match of Maven, Christian & Tyson Tomko vs. Shelton Benjamin, Eugene & William Regal This pattern of lose 3 or 4 then win 1 is simply not the way to get someone over as a potential challenger for the WWE title. So basically in a nutshell. If Christian is considered a worthy contender to Cena's title, but consistenly can't contend for the Raw title?? Right there shows you the severe inconsistency between the two brands. If they were smart, the WWE writers would have started this Christian push about 3 months ago. But hey, they aren't smart so what do you want from them...... |

Rep Power: 8 ![]() | In total agreement. What's worse is they made Christian look weak against Kane, though for a minute he seemed like he was putting up some effective offense. Sadly it lasted only that minute. To be the man, Christian is going to have to be considered a threat against much larger opponents, guys like Kane for example. Since they're obviously not doing anything with the Big Red Machine, a win by Christian would have helped him way more than it would have hurt Kane. Also, it would have been nice to give the Cap'n some momentum heading into the draft with a win last night, even if he lost to Michaels or Edge later in the tournament.

It's weird cuz they are pushing him..it's obvious. They are letting him talk and do his funny stuff all the time but he is still not winning. I don't think he should have beaten Kane fairly but he prolly should have picked up the win. I think he does need to pick up some wins if he is ever going to fight Cena..It wouldn't make sense for him to get a title shot at this point unless they had him win a battle royal out of nowhere, which wouldn't surprise me...

You need to fix that before you advance them. The potential is there and has been there. You just hope they dont kill any future chance they have with these guys like they did with Kane and Big Show. |

Rep Power: 8 ![]() | Yeah, exactly. He can't even beat guys his own size let alone the giants so how would anyone take him seriously as a World Title threat? I still think he should add some calories to his diet and bulk up a little, that couldn't hurt. I think some clean wins (LOSE TOMKO!!!) over decent guys would help a ton. From what I read Jericho is always happy to put people over to help them out, a clean win over CJ would help some. Otherwise he won't ever be seen as a threat to guys like HHH, Taker, Show, Kane, etc.

What about Booker T, or Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, The Undertaker...

Cuz at this point I don't see a guy like Booker T as a main eventer...There is a difference between being a main eventer and staying a main eventer and Booker didn't stay.. The whole JBL thing is something that I can't explain...it was a dumb move that worked out good. So was it really a dumb move then? ..I don't know. The only thing that I know for sure is that on the regular a guy should probably be built up a little bit before he challenges for the title of any show including TNA.
