Rep Power: 44 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Chris Benoit Now I see theres a few different stances oh him on this board. I recently have gotten a little bored with his limited ring arsonal, but come to realize every wrestler seems to be limited to several moves which is kind of lame. Now his in ring work is incredible to me, he's put on some awsome matches. He's obviously not good on the mic, but that is why you should team him up with someone. WWE is totally missing the boat lately not having managers anymore. It makes people seem so boring, and there is limited storylines to do. If they included managers they could come up with a boatload of new ideas, and shake stuff up a bit. With that said I think Chris Benoit has taken some of the sickest bumps I've ever seen, and definitly is an excellent technical wrestler. In my opinion if you are that good in the ring you dont really need that much of a personality in general. I mean excellent matches make up for crap storylines... |

He has become a bit boring lately but I don't think it has as much to do with his character as it does his standing in the company right now..WWE has made him into this "Main Event" guy if you will that never has storylines..he is just there to be a bad ass that all the heels are afraid to fight..much like Kane. Then him and Kane both pick up a win last night to try and solidify them as being major players but I think we all know neither one will actually win the tourney. Benoit needs to go back to SD!..he's done all he can do on RAW..I said earlier that I'd like to see Angle come to RAW, so maybe they can have Benoit replace Angle on SD! and be their big technical wrestler...But he needs a storyline bad.

Maybe actually pin Chris Benoit against Kurt Angle, and make a great storyline out of that. That is why Benoit needs a girl inthe picture so they can get a storyline out of that. Possibly have someone flirt with his girl, or disrespect her, and get benoit pissed. |

The "Main Event" guy who doesn't have storylines is pretty useless (see Kane)...that's why he needs a storyline bad... A heel turn wouldn't be a bad idea either..if he went to SD! and feuded with Cena..He and Cena would be capable of having a decent feud I think. Cena could carry the talking and Benoit could carry the wrestling..Plus, Benoit as a heel before I always thought was a bad ass...holding the crossface after the bell and shit. Remember when he headbutted Stephanie? He's not a heel character that runs away though..he stands there and fights.

On the point of a manager, I did like his association with Shane O'Mac a few years back (at the time he was "robbed" of the Title against The Rock by Commissioner Foley). Whatever I or anyone else thinks of him though, the combination of that fused neck, advancing years and an unwillingness to slow down the bumps and their frequency....regrettably we may not have him to enjoy in the ring for too long (fingers crossed I'm wrong).

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Ya I think the reason his moves are so limited now is just because his body is finally starting to break down. All you really see him do now are the Germans, the headbutt, and some chops, on occasion you get a snap suplex in there, and of course the sharpshooter and the crossface. That pretty limited. And if you notice lately it seems like all his matches are just routine. I feel bad because he is awsome, but I also realize that the human body can only take so much punishment.

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | I dont care for Benoit as a character, but he is 1 hell of a wrestler, 1 of the best ive ever watched seen tv. his matches with Angle were prob the best series ive seen i recet memory. but his character sucks. he needs a good angle, hes had great matches, yet he hasnt had a real good program. |
