RAW Thoughts 5/2

Well..I just got home from Boston and i had a great time I post more tomorrow I'm high a hell

Shit man..OK here are my thoughts..

-I don't know how it looked on TV but the Shelton and HBK match was really fun to watch. The last couple minutes were amazing..and HBK with that kick at the end with Shelton comin' off the ropes..lol I started dancing around like a little girl at a Backstreet Boys concert.

-I didn't see the end of Hurricane and Rosey..I went and took a piss and got something to drink.

-At Heat they had a match between The Heart Throbs and Tajiri and Regal...I won't tell ya who won although y'all could prolly care less but those Heart Throb guys were pretty funny.

-I was shocked to see Benoit win over Triple H...I have no idea where this is going cuz I thought we'd see Batista-Triple H III for sure with an added stipulation.

-After RAW got over they had a tag match...what happend was Triple H and Flair were pissed and taunted Batista to get in the ring so he went back down and Edge ran out and attacked him from behind. Then HBK ran out to help Dave and that set up the match..This match was pretty funny at some spots. At one point HBK pulled down Hunter's tights and exposed his ass..lol (I bet Simon liked that one)...then Flair got in the ring and got his pants pulled down too. Than towards the end Flair again ran in the ring and Batista grabbed him and Triple H into a double noggin' knocker and they bith did the signature Flair face plant into the mat and the exact same time..Then Edge ran at Dave with the spear but Dave picked him up and dropped him with the spinebuster for the win.

Anyway, I had a great time...I always have a blast at WWE shows..even if it's at SD!..I still have a good time.

Pros

- Gold Rush tourny; pretty sweet idea I like this once in awhile. It draws a lot of interests. It also paints a picture of the main event scene right now

- Viscera; haha I dont know I just find it funny as hell. Also, Simon Dean is growing on me. His corny gimmick is still funny, and he really has a lot of charisma.

- Masters; also growing on me. Hated him at first, but his segments are also getting better. His mic skills are improving, and he seems to be getting better at insulting the crowd. Hopefully when he starts matches again his wrestling isn't too bad, and they put him against someone good.

- Shelton Benjamin Vs Shawn Michaels; sweet fucking match dug this. The final kick was insane. He must have got knocked the fuck out from that. These two should have a mega feud. That would be awsome

- Hurricane & Rosey retaining; Thank God they didnt lose tonight. They need a good push, and hopefully they'll hold onto the titles for awhile. Maybe build up some new tag teams, and get a good division going.

Cons

- Christian losing; Pointless seriously they should have had him win a tough one, and keep on building momentum. Kane is useless right now, might as well used this match to boost Christian up.

- Edge push; God this guy urks me bad. I just dont see the point of him. If anything they should repackage him with Lita, and have the biggest mega heels ever. Although they already sort of hinted at that tonight when both of them were in the same segment.

- Hunter not really losing clean; He should have either lost clean tonight or picked up the win. I get the whole Batista angle, but it just makes Triple H have so many excuses to why he didnt win.

Bouchie

If Edge faces Kane in the Gold Rush Tournament:

Lita could cost Kane the match and go heel with Edge.

ICEMAN

Benjamin-HBK was a fantastic match. Benjamin could be the star of the future, and what I think they need to do is make him a ****y, arrogant heel. He can brag about how he does things noboby in WWE can do, then continue to go out to the ring and put on great matches.

I don't understand why Christian lost to Kane. You would think you'd want to make Christian look strong if indeed he's getting drafted to Smackdown. I'm not saying he should win the Gold Rush tournament, but it wouldn't hurt for him to win a match or two. Unfortunately, I have this sinking feeling that Christian is going to end up staying on RAW and a month from now his push and air time will decrease.

It was great seeing Triple H tap. Batista's move to pull away the bottom rope was clever, and it's always good to see Benoit win. It'd be pretty sweet if Benoit won and had a match with Batista. You know with Benoit involved, the match would be good.

Overall I thought RAW was a good show, but the whole "tournament" idea is played out now, considering they've had like 3 of them in the last 5 months.

When does the winner get the title match?

The next RAW PPV is seven weeks away, and it looks like the number one contender will be decided ijn 2 weeks

HellKat

Pros:

Haitch tapped!!!! And Dave pulling the rope away was classic.

Capt. Charisma was entered in the tourney (despite his loss) and his promo with Flair

HBK/Shelton was a decent match

Cons:

Viscera's match and the whole "sexual chocolate" thing reborn

Masterlock challenge - how much longer this is going on, I don't know but hope they end it soon.

Edge going over Y2J, sorry but I still think Y2J deserves a title run

HBK going over Shelton. He's already been champ before, let Shelton have a go at least a semi-final or final match.

Pros:

I was there.

Christian opening the show and being in the tournament. He is also in the cons catagory as well.

Benoit beating HHH was simply perfect booking. I seriously never saw it coming. I figured Benoit was just being fed to HHH so he could make it 3 straight against Batista.

The sound was actually really good in the Fleetcenter. You could hear all the promos quite nicely. It was good for a change.

The overall concept of a tournament is something they should do a few times a year when they have nothing going on storyline wise. Its a nice break from the norm.


Cons:

Christian again loses. I will start another thread about my thoughts on him.

Not enough "You screwed Matt chants"

Chris Masters continues to bore the snot out of everyone.

La Resistance needs to be broken up. They are so boring its not even funny. Either that or its just the entire tag division that sucks. Yeah, thats it.
