Interesting fact here:
JBL has held the WWE Championship for more days than Triple H has. Now, keep in mind this is the WWE/WWF Championship, so it doesn't count the H's reigns as World Heavyweight Championship. Still, I'm sure you're asking how that's possible, right? Here's the lowdown:
Triple H held the WWE (formerly WWF) Championship on 5 occasions:
8/23/99 to 9/14/99 - 21 days
9/26/99 to 11/14/99 - 48 days
1/3/00 to 4/30/00 - 117 days
5/21/00 to 6/25/00 - 34 days
3/17/02 to 4/21/02 - 28 days
Total Days as Champion: 254
JBL held the WWE Championship once:
6/27/04 to 4/3/05 - 276 days
Total Days as Champion: 276
Who would've thunk it? Also interesting is that the last person to hold the title longer than JBL was Kevin "Diesel" Nash, who held the WWF Championship from 11/26/97 to 11/19/95 - 353 days. Kevin Nash...as champion...for almost a whole year. I hurt thinking about that.
