In the last year or so, it seems that the only feuds have been over the two World titles and maybe a secondary feud or two on each show.
Like since Summerslam, on Raw, there was Orton vs. HHH till about November, which evolved into Batista vs. HHH till now. The only other feuds that got a good amount of TV time were Edge vs. HBK and Kane vs. Snitsky. How come they haven't been doing anything at all with Benoit, Jericho, Benjamin, Christian? They just go out and wrestle or provide support in other feuds in the form of tag team matches.
Benjamin's the IC champion, but when's the last time there has been a long IC feud over atleast a month. There was Maven-Benjamin, but that was like a few weeks and ended in two squash matches.
There should also be feuds over the Raw Tag Titles...they keep putting the titles back on La Resistance but atleast have them feud with someone over them, not just wrestle them. The closest thing to a tag title feud on Raw in recent memory was with Rhyno & Tajiri vs. La Res, and that didn't go anywhere.
On Smackdown, it's been JBL vs. Title Challenger all year long. The only significant undercard feuds I remember are Eddie vs. Angle, Eddie vs. Rey, Taker vs. Heidenreich (where Heidenreich just got squashed over and over and over again), and Angle vs. Big Show. They handled Cena vs. Carlito and Kidman vs. London poorly. They only had one Tag title feud with RVD & Rey vs. Suzuki & Dupree and that didn't last very long. Where are the feuds for Booker T, Eddie from Survivor Series to No Way Out, Booker T, Rey before the last few weeks? Where are the CW title feuds, the Tag title feuds, the US title feuds?

Damn right. Which is why the single brand PPV's suck so much, there's only ever one or two feuds going into them, so they make up a couple of silly fueds like Booker laughing and Heidenreich thinking he's laughing at him to set up a PPV match just days before the show. There should be about seven or eight ongoing feuds on each show at any given time.

It'd be different if the writers could handle it...but I really don't think they could these days.
I mean think about it. They spend all their time on making one or two good feuds and the rest are shit right? So what happens when these idiots try to focus on 3 or 4 feuds? ...I fear they might all suck. Stupid writers.
The last big fueds I remember that had that "epic" feel to them were Lesnar/Angle and HHH/HBK. I remember when feuds would last for years. I think a huge problem is patience. WWE thinks they need the payoff 1 month after it begins. You do not. You can drag some of these on for the better part of a year if you want. The men involved do not always have to fight each other, they can have other matches and interfere and stuff like that. Remember when Austin and HHH had their 3 falls match in Feb. 2001? That match felt bigger than a Wrestlemania match becuase those two had been fueding since September of 1999.

I agree with Blitz...
The crop of writers they have now feel like they are stuck in Short Attention Span Theater mode.
Epic fueds take time and careful planning to build.
Look at all the classics and you will see how long the fueds took to build into their biggest points.

I think its a little tougher when you have 2 big shows a week and 2 15 PPVs a month. I do miss tho, when a feud would go on for months and sometimes years. The Ultimate Warrior feuded with The Ravishing One for like years. Hogand feuded with Sarge for more than 1 year. But I guess today is a little tougher!!!

Do you have a reason not to give The Half Boy your vote for the Hall of Fame?
No matter what it's no excuse for some of the stupid crap they make us watch on SD! each week...Booker loses, Heidenreich laughs, they both get DQed in back to back weeks, and now an abduction angle possibly? lol
