Thoughts on Muhammad Hassan Part II

Many of you probably missed the first one when he was still a rookie..or more of a rookie anyways.

So what do you think of this guy now that you've seen him for a while?

We all agreed that him and Davairi were pretty damn good on the mic, but we didn't like for the most part his in-ring ability.

Personally, at first I didn't even think Hassan would last as long as he has. I still think he can't do this gimmick forever, but it's got some staying power.

Now, I think he's gotten better in the ring since his debut. He needs a little different material though when he speaks because it's all starting to sound the same evey week.

I liked the segment between Hassan and HBK and I think it could be an interesting feud.

So what do you guys think of him now? What should he do to improve? and who should he feud with in the future to create an interesting story?

I don't really have a thought as to what to do with him, but I do agree he's improved quite a bit and shows promise.

I would have him enter a program with Shelton Benjamin. Shelton could carry him through a lot of the match or matches.

I would still have Shelton retain and then maybe eventually lose the title down the line to Hassan at SummerSlam, maybe sooner.

Here's something I'm wondering about (sorry to derail the thread a little)...

If Benjamin didn't have the IC belt, would people want Hassan (or anyone else they want to see elevated) work a program with him still? Or would it be with whomever currently holds the IC strap? Reason I was wondering is I began to think about my own matchup wish, seeing Benjamin and Christian start a long running feud. At first it was because Benjamin was the IC champ, but now I think I would like to see these two work with each other even without a title on the line.

Ok, hijacking over.

I think its too soon to be giving Hassan title shots. I think he does have potential and can become enjoyable to watch...I just don't want him crammed down my throat (COUGHortonCOUGH).

Hassan's a good worker, but despite the Iraqi war, his gimmick is kinda dated. He and Carlito are good newcomers.

That is one of the best ideas Ive heard. Benjamin could carry Hassans work to the next level. And Hassans heat could get Benjamin the pops he needs to move on. This fued would elevate both guys without even costing a big name.

Yes, I don't think anyone would disagree with a Hassan vs. Benjamin program.

I would like to see it go on for a while though, and not just one match at a PPV just for the hell of it like they did with Christian vs. Shelton...Like Simon said in the above post, have Shelton win their first match to set up a story that could go 'till Summerslam.
