Triple H vs. Batista - The Rematch

The talk is that WWE is going to book Triple H vs. Batista at the Backlash PPV on May 1 in a WrestleMania rematch with some sort of added match stipulation. My question is, do you think that this will be like the second coming of HHH vs. Randy Orton, or do you think Batista will still be "the man" following Backlash?

Unless the book him like Goldberg, his offense isn't interesting enough to carry a lengthy match, as we saw tonight, so I guess its on they use him for the next month.

I guess it all depends on Triple H's ego, if he can deal without being the champion then I imagine WWE will make the Batista the man. Just keep his matches short with him dominating his opponents in short matches like WCW did with Goldberg.

I have a feeling only WWE will have that answer maybe a week or lest before Backlash. I personally think Batista has a huge fan base and that he will impress enough to keep the title. If not, it won't because he doesn't deserve it, but because of politics.

Why is Backlash on May 1st? I hope i'm not the only one who doesn't like PPV's spilling over to the next month, WWE has done this 9 times now with WM. I guess it's because it makes the wait seem even longer.

I think it all depends on how big of a reaction Batista gets now..They'll have the rematc either way..If Big Dave is way over I think they'll stay with him as champ. If people are just kind of whatever towards him, HHH gets the title back.

I hope batista keeps the title after backlash mainly just because i'm really really sick of seeing HHH as champ. But HHH will probably win it back at Backlash if not shortly after that, and then lose it and win it back again at least once more before the year is over.

I would like to see some variety for once but it so true that Batista is just not the right guy to have the belt. Hes a good guy and all but the world champ requires the ability to cut good promos or at least talk for more than four seconds. Unless Batista works on that hes destined to be a one month champ. He follows the Goldberg model and remember that gimmick only had a year at best in it.
